Dont know about the Piano Black PSP (S&L) but the Silver PSP doesn't smug as much only the screen got really smugged. The rest of the faceplate you cant event tell makes it so much easer to clean, oh just get a good screen protector and you're good to go.
oops 3rd time I'm repeating this point but after comparing both the silver and black in action I'd say go with the black. I like the silver alot and it's different as well but in my opinion the images on the screen show up better against the black as compared with the silver. Maybe not everyone will have this impression...
I picked up my new silver psp today and it's so much nicer than my old black one. Color wasn't as big of an issue for me as was the new design but I really do like the silver quite a bit.

is the black psp slim even out yet? I haven't seen it anywhere. If so i want to get that one instead, but for now im on track to get the silver slim very soon.
It's personal choice, do you want a black, silver, or white slim PSP. Personally I got the black. The core system with a 1GB memory stick duo, and a vidpro case came out the same price as a bundle pack. Some people prefer the silver though. It does smudge less, but I foundthe colorsomewhat tacky.
I prefer the silver now. At first I thought it was ugly but then I really ended up liking it more. Alot less finger prints. Overall the color means nothing.
so whats the differnts inside can the black one do the same stuff as the silver

then go for the black just take care of it not to be scratched(buy a crystal case,pouch,screen protector and your ready to go) they say silver but you want black,so go for it.but me gonna im gonna get silver this christmas, OUTDATED MESSAGE HUH.
