Depends. If it's exactlylike the PC games then yes it will be. If it's just a game similar to the PC games then it's leaning towards just ok.
The PS2 and GameCube had Sims games on it, but those were just games similar to the PC game. It didn't play exactly the same and they were just ok. Hopefully the Sims 3 will pretty much just be a port of the PC version. But then again if you don't like the Sims I doubt you'll like it regardless of the system.
I remember buying the Sims on GameCube. I was so excited since my computer had a hard time playing The Sims back then. To my disappointment, the GC version of the game was a heavily dumbed down version of the PC games, plus there weren't any expansion packs. I've stuck with PC Sims ever since.
I guess if the controls are good you shouldn't have a problem I guess. I only played a Sims game on the PC and didn't care for it, I don't understand the fascination this game carries with some people but hey, different strokes...
