Since when did graphics make a game?

why spend soooo much on the ps3 then, and all the next-gen etc.

for gameplay, the original mario is still fantastic. :)

I dont care much about Graphics. They are nice to look at. But they do not make a game. Some of my favorite games are PS1/NES/SNES games. Anyone remember Legend of the Dragoon? Amazing game. How about Secret of Evermore? Also one of the best games EVER.

If all someone says about a game is the graphics. Then chance's are the gameplay is'nt that great. Some games have to hide behind graphics.

i like graphics that dont compromise the game it self

like it dont have to blow up amazingly if it wont let the terrain deform

of course graphics matter,

every comparison you will see will be graphics....

you dont spend all this money on next gen to play crappy looking games, sorry... but you just dont.

and also the purchases of a HD tele for gaming with their ps3, to get crappy looking games.

I think the problem is that too many companies are concentrating on graphics.

I like good graphics in my games, but too often now are game companies going all out on graphics, and put in story/ect as an afterthought. That's what i dont' like.

If companies put as much into the story/world as they do graphics/mechanics, then there'd never be any problems.. unfortunately, that isnt the case.
