Mirror's Edge is only six days away. I played the demo and the music and art style is great. The gameplay is fun, however, I had trouble with the controls at first. I would rather have played as the blonde though but that's just me. So what are you're thoughts on the game? I personally enjoyed it a lot but I will still wait for reviews.
It seems like I should rent it but I'd rather avoid renting games. I'm waiting for reviews cause it would be a nice addition to my collection.
Everything about it seems good; interesting plot, female lead role that isn't a slut, FPV with camera that is fixed to the character, and best of all...it encourages you to avoid confrontaion (thats like unheard of in a videogame!).
first day buy for me, i have never bought a game first day out. This will be a first plus i am going to pick up deadspace as well, and probably shawn white
Six days, seriously? I just bought Resistance II, Gears 2 comes out tomorrow, and now Mirror's Edge just slipped by me...I'm beginning to really hate this month. Well, my bank account is. Thanks for the heads up, though.
oh...lol, and to the TS...not my kind of game. I don't know why...reminds me of Perfect Dark, which I hated...also seems a little too feminist "Lilith Fair," for me...call me crazy.
Right now, im just interested in it and am going to wait to hear some reviews. Their are a couple of games that i'd get instead, but I may get it someday depending on how it does.
seems very good on the demo i most probably buy it a couple of days after the release because my birthday is a couple days after the release of mirrors edge.
I played the demo and was impressed. Mirror's Edge takes the first person experience to a new level--I can't remember ever experiencing that kind of motion in a first person game. It's a funny thing, but even though it looks like a fantastic game, there are still others that are more of a priority for me. That's a good situation to be in as a PS3 gamer! My very next game will be Valkyria Chronicles, followed by Dead Space, and then Little Big Planet. That's the order of epicness these games have for me, personally. I mean, flipping pancakes... Valkyria isn't just a PS3 exclusive RPG (anyone else feeling this one's way under-hyped?) it's also fresh and unique among RPGs in general.
Argh. The more I talk about Valkyria Chronicles, the more it breaks my heart that I'm not playing it right now.
i would think about it if it would be third person view... making cool moves in first person view is meaningless...TheLegendKnight
People who keep saying this just dont understand.
sure, it would be nice to see it in 3rd person, but having that camera angle truly makes you feel like you are doing it yourself! This is done so well by showing the limbs when appropriate, and when jumping and going fast, if you have surround you can hear the air going by you, like it really was going by your ears. Those effects would not be nearly as impressive in 3rd person view
Looks very interesting, but not only am I strapped for time, but I want to wait a bit and see what others (both reviewers and regular gamers) are saying. Sometimes waiting allows me to learn about aspects of the game that I either find appealing or un-appealing, which can sway my decision a bit.
The game looks great. After playin the demo, I like the idea of having a first person platformer type of game, but I'mma play it safe and check out the reviews.
