Alright well I have the PSP slim and sometimes when I try and turn it on the screen is just black and the light is green. Then the light turns off and I have to turn it back on and it turns on from botting up. I have no firmwares or anything. Is there a setting on the PSP that does this? It's sort of annoying.
i don't have a psp slim so i might not be much help, are you turning it off properly? Like it almost sounds like your psp is still on in like a sleep mode so when you turn it on, it is turning off or something.

actually that happened to me like twice yesterday too. I was afraid that it was breaking or something... idk i hope it doesn't break.
wait so what happens exactly? the green light is on but the screen wont show? and pressing buttons wont help? try having it plugged in and see if that helps.now im not so sure about getting a slim :(

No like when I open the psp, it crashes and I have to reopen again.

Well this is what happened to mine... I put my slim on stand by... and when i tried to turn it back on... the green light indicator lit but the screen didn't turn on. Then the psp just turned off and i had to turn it back on... i turned back on and it worked. But i don't know why it just crashed after i turned it on from stand by.

oh, i thought it didnt work anymore but at least it still works. it must suck if u put it on stand by and the game crashesand u didnt save the game. does this happen all the time or sometimes or rarely?
Hasn't happened to me, I mean it auto-off itself when its not in use, but I never encounter this problem before, maybe its a firmware update needed. I also have a problem when I go to search for a wireless connection and can't find one. I get an stupid message like "An internal error has occured 0000011" something like that. Whereas its suppose to say "There are no wireless connections in the area". Sony needs a firmware soon.

It only happened one or twice since I got my Slim, but for the last 4 days it hasn't happened again... so i hope it doesn't crash again anytime soon.
Mine did that the first time I tried to turn it on, two weeks ago. It hasn't done it since. I just assumed that it didn't like being turned on with the AC adaptor plugged in.
