I don't know but I wouldn't say it's immune but I think it decreases the chance for YLOD because I think it's using a better fan.

YLOD isn't random, it occurs when your PS3 overheats and the motherboard gets fried or disconnects. So yes it is POSSIBLE, but it's WAY less likely due to less production of heat in the Slim.

I don't know if it's immune to YLOD, but I do know for a fact that (mine at least) it isn't immune to freezing fairly often. My 120GB has already frozen and locked up to where I had to unplug my console to shut it down 4 times, and it's frozen up 6 times total.... in a little over 2 months. :x My 60GB has frozen only about once in 3 years btw
