So how exactly does Killzone Mercenary's matchmaking work?

Hey everyone! 

Finally got Killzone a few days ago and excitedly jumped into the multiplayer mode hoping to kill a few hours (and a few people), but there was just one small problem: I can't find anyone to play with. I start up a public match, get thrown into the lobby and just wait there, with not a single soul appearing even after half an hour of waiting.

So I'm just wondering, how exactly does the matchmaking work? Is there like a EU server that I join in on or does it only look for players in my country? (which I really hope not, because then I'm totally screwed since I'm like one of three Vita owners in South Africa).

having the same problem.... been trying all day and have never found a match, or just sit in an empty lobbyGeminon
