That was kinda hard to read (with your space bar screwed up). Thanks for the input. I will definitely get the game when it gets to the EU.
how were you able to obtain a copy? also, just out of curiousity, is english your 2nd language?jzen_
his space bar is broken/jammed.....
is gamecrazy selling it?ginglejangle
Nope.. I just called and they said it's released date was pushed back.
So right now i guess it's only EB and gamestop that have it...
I have done the training and the first two missions. I have to agree, I don't understand what the dislike for the controls was during a lot of the reviews. I am going go out on a limb here and say that the people that don't like the controls either are not willing to give them a chance or don't know how to use their hands. They are fluid, simple, and perfectly reactive.
The story is keeping pace so far and the scenery is outstanding. I have a slight issue with the coloring and lighting, it may be my TV, but the first two missions I had a bit of difficulty distinguising things at a distance due to the time of day in the game and the light (or lack there of ) it was shining on everything. The lack of a radar has not been an issue and I have had no problems finding the objectives thanks to the arrow that points you in the direction you need to go.
I enjoy the game so far and do not regret buying it in the least. I would have to say that if I can get about 8 hours of the game before I start working on medals I will be quite happy.
from what i've seen it moves at a pretty brisk pace. havent gone thru alot tho since im here answering questions for all of u mista_meth
and we thank you.......*huggles*

QFT. I agree I just use rage vision to distinguish my enemies if im having difficulty, incase u didnt notice that hint, uhold the up button on the d-pad to use it. im pretty sure i did notice it tho.:)
Well from what i'm hearing from you guys that already own the game, that the game is pretty good and deserves a good score to go with it and the controls in your opinions is pretty good and handy. Well here's my question, i've seen all these reviews that the controls have always been a problem, however; from the updates and demos of the game that people from gamestop, 1up, ign etc. were able to participate in have said the controls work fine and are a great addition. Im sure most of you have heard about the EGM reviews of the game where Lair recieved an average score of 6.0 from three reviewers and they hated the controls. I havent seen the actual score myself and just heard about it on both the 1up forums and these forums. So were those scores for real or just a mistake because they havent offically published the review. And you'd think that 3 people reviewing the same game that at least one would like the controls. =/MalachiLiu
hhaaha i guess they just dont hve the time to want to play the whole game with the controls as sum levels mite seem lke a stretch, since they believe they are hard-working men....or sumn lke dat...i relli hve no timw too busy playing.
Hey guys i dont know if you've seen it or not, but IGN has just rated Lair for themselves and gave the game a 4.9/10!

You might think I'm being too hard on Lair, but if you do, you clearly haven't played this game. Although there are levels where wide-open environments and spread-out objectives trick you into thinking the Sixaxis stuff isn't that bad, whenever a handful of enemies are on screen, your flight space becomes limited or you need to be precise, this game falls apart.
At one point, Lair looked like one of the most promising titles coming to the PS3, but the final version -- even with its interesting story, occasionally impressive graphics and amazing score -- falls well short of anything you should be playing.

And this is the reasons game scores suck. they are just one persons OPINION. My opinion of the game greatly differs from this. I think the game is pretty good, and the controls are pretty good too.
