So i got Dark Souls and i hate it...

Why is this game so freaking hard? I beat the first boss after like 8 tries. Now i cant even beat the two skeletons in the graveyard after that because they're too cheap and theres no way around beating them. They can roll and knock me down/hurt me. i do that and they're just like "lol wtf double team sword smash" and i die

look at a youtube walkthrough and mimic what stuff they do to beat the game..

NOT a speed run lol... a walkthrough.

or buy a strategy guide book if they have it too..

Talk to people at firelink and they will hit you towards objectives. You'll find that once you get use to the fighting system and parrying the games all about being careful.

The story isn't really that interesting; I enjoy dark souls for the Boss fights,PvP and the exploration. There's hours of game play. If you find an area way too hard like the grave yard it's because they are telling you to come back when you're stronger.

do yourself a favour and just sell/trade it in to save yourself the frustration. i traded it for skyrim. man i dont even know how i actually went through and beat demon's souls. i feel its a good game and all, but just way overrated. i mean cmon, ppl act like its the greatest game of all time just cuz its ridiculously hard?

If that game wasn't so punishing and unforgiving with having to start the whole level over and loosing whatever you've collected everytime you die, I'd purchase it but life is frustrating enough without playing a game that caters towards it. Definitelty a game for the select few.

i tried demon souls, didnt get too far and was constantly advised to reference "wiki pages for help". I've heard demon souls is even harder. For myself, i dont get enjoyment out of having to look on internet for help or tricks to move ahead. A lot of the game i find isn't challenging, but more trial/error...a lot of help required from web pages and discussion boards. id rather spend my time playing the game than looking online for ways to advance within a game. The games are definitely not for everyone, especially those who don't have the required devotion this series expects from user.

The game is just not that easy mate. Expect a hard game to walk into the "Easy game" party.

well i have beaten demons souls and dark souls im up to the painted world of ariamis so im a bit of the way through, i'm at soul level 50. the game is all about skill. if it wasn't then people wouldn't be able to do speed runs on it.

I really jsut dont get the point of the game, the items, what to do, and where to go. It just throws you into the world and is like ok fu, good luck. I dont mind challenging games, but games without direction? Cmon now...

Dark Souls is Old School in the fact that it is Hard. Good luck on finishing this game.

i get that its supposed to be a hard game and all, but why all the praise? other games have difficulty settings, so you can play hard, medium or easy mode. id think that would deserve more praise cuz it gives the player a choice. i mean okay fine, its supposed to be like a super hard challenge for the ultimate gamer dude. okay i get that, but atleast don't make it annoying to play. i beat demon's souls so im not gonna say its a bad game, but the fact that you have to start ALL OVER from the beginning of the damn level when you die is what really pissed me off. like cmon, the game is hard enough already, why did they have to make it hard an annoying. the challenge makes it fun yeah, but when you gotta repeat everything every single time just makes it like a chore to play. takes the fun out of it.

the online was cool too, but the fact that you have to grind for hours and hours on end just to stand a chance just turned me off. also getting pwned in 1 hit by some crazy ass fire spell like 80% of the time didn't help either.

I feel ya, that's why I traded it in after a week of torture. Like you said, I don't mind a challenge but other then frustration,anger and self torture Dark Souls doesn't seem to have a direction....

i didn't buy this game, but i played it at a friend's house and i found it too difficult to be enjoyable. Atleast when i played Ninja Gaiden, i enjoyed the super fast ninja action, though i was never able to beat the game. I never understood why darksouls got 9.5 , definately overrated. I suggest you trade it / sell it.

Don't you get it? That's the beauty of the game. No stupid cutscene, no cliché'd bs, just you and a world who is largely indiferent to you. You beat a boss? Nope, you're just an Undead who thought it would be a good idea to slay something bigger than him. After all, why not? You're eternal.

What I am trying to say here is that this game is tough as nails. I've been playing the first one (Demon's Souls) from the beggining, and I am at the second level and I already died +30 times without even reaching the boss. I know I suck, but damn, this game..

you have to buy another copy of the spell then add it at a campfire.
