So, I just picked up Killzone 2...

...and I love it!

I've spent the past year playing CoD 4, and finally after getting a PS3, I have found what I believe to be the best online FPS on the market.

I love all the little things that Killzone does differently that make the game go a long way. The matchmaking is great, especially for a "noob" like me. I also like how you have a health and stamina bar.

So far, I'm loving it. I can't wait until I get good.

The only complaint I have is that guns don't start with more ammo, but I saw that at a later rank that will no longer be a problem.

First off, congrats on your purchase. And im also glad to hear that you like the game. Many people have different feelings in response to this game but i think its great and love it as well. Man Killzone 2 is just awesome... its so underrated and people who play CoD just can't seem to enjoy anything different IMO... at least it seems to me that many people say CoD is still way better... give it a rest, killzone 2 is just awesome and the online with its classes and game modes are superb. Not saying CoD is a bad game at all but people need to find some enjoyment out of other things...

Good point. I found that CoD: 4 didn't really capture the feeling that a war was going on. it just 16 people running around in a cage of a map hiding to kill each other and spawning in random places (for deathmatch).

But in Killzone, It really does feel like a struggle. Having 1 or 2 spawn points almost makes the game feel like a tug of war (but opposite, cause you want to push the enemy back, not pull). And the huge buildings and ominous wind, sky, etc, really compliments the atmosphere.

I also like playing as the bad guys since Brian Cox's voice acting is so good.

Awesome, I just switched off my console after playing Killzone 2, it's totally awesome. Overall, its an excellent game! :)

I always liked Killzone 2, and then my PS3 got YLOD, but it's fixed now so i'm back to playing, and at first I was a bit rusty and thought that I should use the high precision controls, but the original controls were already in my blood so i stuck with those and got my groove back and i'm loving the game all over again! It's a very good shooter, I like the noise it makes when you kill someone, I like the feel of the weight to the guns, and I love the impact of shooting someone with a sniper rifle from a far distance. Same with when you pump 25 bullets into someone with the SMG and when you burst fire someone with the Assault rifle! Plus the classes and mix and match make it good, and I like choosing a server too! It's all around good. I just need a clan!

Personally I only got my PS3 about 6 weeks ago and since then, my 360 hasn't even been turned on. Not dissing the 360 by any stretch, it's as great console, but there's just nothing on it currently that is holding my interest...Anyway...I digress....

I've got around 7 or so games for my PS3 so far, but it's Killzone 2 that I keep going back to. Played a small portion of the campaign and have put around 40 hours or so into the online side of things. Unlocked all classes and just need to work on the additional perks for them all. Anyway, feel free to add me if you like :)

Yeah, I held off getting Killzone 2 for long while (I actually picked up MGS4 before it).

I am also thorougly enjoying the community online. I've been in about a dozen matches, and I haven't heard any annoying people. It's great!

I won't miss those whiney European preteens that like to cuss all the time!
