So if PS4 releases 2013/2014 who will buy it?

Though the PS3 didnt have much of a problem at launch because its hardware was perfectly suited for the games at launch. I've had my system since launce the 60gb fat. And it has less problems than the new slims from things I read here in Gamespot.

Anyway that's a side issue and not on topic. Yes I'll buy the launch PS4. Why? Because I can.

Nope. I'll do what I always do: Wait for it to come out and see how it does. In the meantime I'll be finishing up my PS3 library and by the time the PS4 actually has a decent and worthwhile library of games, a slimmer cheaper version will be released. That's when I'll go and buy one. :Dmegagene

I made the mistake of buying a 40gb used ps3, wish i had a new slim version :).

Unless the ps4 really blows my mind like WOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHHHH i think i'll stick to the above tactic :P

2014 isn't that bad for a new console. If I get one or not depends on how much exclusive content it has. If it has a lot of exclusive games I want, I'll get one. If not, I'll get a beefier PC and a Vita.

I will absolutely be getting the PS4, I don't care how much it is. I've bought every PS system and I ain't stopping now :)

Remember when PS3 was released? that's when Persona 3 & 4 came out. I'm still hoping that at leat one SMT series comes out on the PS3.

Er, 2020 is a bit too late, but 2013 is also too early. I don't know - based on history, a new generation should start soon but it still feels like these current generation systems still have a lot of potential, or at least, the PS3 does. The Wii and 360 might be at their limits now. So, if the new consoles do come out in 2013, I won't get one right away. Since Sony has the 10 year promise on the PS3, I can still play on that for a while and then wait it out for price drops, and to see which console will have the best new services, exclusives, etc. Because I'm telling you right now, if I had to get a console this generation on day one, the PS3 would've been my last choice. Also, we all know that a better, sleeker, cheaperversion of any system always comes out in the future.

When Sony does release Playstation 4. I will buy it. It is just a matter of when the PS4 is released. in 2012 or 2013/2014/2015 I will buy it.

I have bought Playstation 1/2/3 both Phat and Slim versions. So I will buy Playstation 4. Whenever it is released.

I just bought my PS3 Slim last month and I have yet so many games to buy and play, so I think I would hold off till 2016/2017 atleast before I started thinking about a PS4, or even longer if the PS4 Slimmer version hasn't come out.

Day 1 for me. Haha. I bought the 60GB day 1 & even camped for it. Honestly, I would have to see more than 1 game that will be hitting us at launch WORTH the day 1 purchase.
