I've only played it for an hour because my ps3 decided that it wanted to stop reading discs, but that was the best hour in my gaming life.

This game is simply amazing. Great way to end the trilogy. I was expecting it to be about 8 to 10 hours long, so i wasnt dissapointed at all. Best opening of any game period. I mean come on all this crazy stuff going on and the game doesnt dip in frame rate at all (maybe a tick here or there)

Some people may not like the game, but they cant deny that this game has the most amazing use of scale to date.

NOT SPOILER - The ending by the way... so good. of course in not a lame dude so i wont ruin it, but man its worth playing the entire series

Love the gameplay, but the story... they ruined it.

The game is a PS 3 perfection and one of the best games I've ever played.

I've played a few hours of it, and just the epic fights are so thrilling to be apart of and not just watch. For the longest I thought the 360 had the best games EVER..but after playing GOW3 I'm starting to see just how much ahead Sony may be in the game. God of War 3 is simply AMAZING..and I'm a hard cookie to crack! I was wrong when I said the graphics were not that great (after only playing the demo)..in fact (NOT A SPOILER) >> the giants in this game you fight look so real it's jaw dropping. I can't believe that about 99% of this game seems to be running in real time.

I want to rate it a 10 before I even play it. I'm sure it will be one of the greatest games I'll ever play. Hearing people say it's just a button masher or the story is kinda lacking breaks my heart I tell you. I'm Buying a ps3 very soon for this game and the many other awesome exclusives. what's the problem with people? I would prefer 8 hours of high quality experience more so than a 60 hour feast of mediocrity 8) not every game is an RPG you know. what next? you want the movies to last for 20 hours? GOW3 is the best, period.

the series has grown stale in my opinion and some of the controls are dated. god of war was a great innovative fresh game gow2 was more of the same gow3 is more of the same with better graphics. in my opinion next gen deserves more then just better graphics. its a good game with high production value but i wouldn't put it at the top of the must have list and you can even make the argument that its not the best looking ps3 game with uncharted 2 and heavy rain and final fantasy 13 (which is in true 1080p finally someone does it)clarkportmanken

Well if people are dissapointed with this awesome game well then, i dont know what would make them happy. I love this game, it is the best game i have ever played and the best graphics i have ever ever seen in a video game before. If people are dissapointed with this game well it sucks to be them cause this game is freaking sweet. 10 out 10.

-changed the voice actors for Gaia and Athena

-Revisting places instead of new environments

-The graphics are amazing but after you take out Helios everything becomes gloomy and rainy- should have moved killing him later into the game.

- Didn't like the the story too much, Athena's part and Kratos' love for Pandora seemed forced

- I didn't like the magics that much compared to GoW1 and 2

- By far my biggest complaint and what keeps this game from being the best game of the gen is the final show down. Wow so anitclimatic, Zeus wasn't much more interesting then a regular enemy and they should've had gamepaly like the beginning or even like with Cronos. running along Gaia's back while battling Zeus would've been incredible but they totally killed it

Linda Hunt definitely did the narration but the rest was a different VA. I was left disappointed with the story (and the lack of Titans). And I gotta agree with you, the final fight was anti-climatic and there were small small irritating errors in the game. Other than those problems, a great game. And the gameplay is super fun and really nice.

Meh I didn't expect much from it, never planned on getting it I only picked it up because of a 3 for one trade deal and I had some rubbish games to get rid of. Struggling to get into it just left hell (hope that wasn't too much of a spoiler) and i'm yet to feel engaged or into it or feel this sense of epic everyone yammers on about hoping it proves me wrong sometime in the next 8 or whatever hours of play remaining. I always am too negative when it comes to games getting proven wrong is always nice.

New game plus means you start of with all your upgraded weapons and magic.

Simply amazing, you're really missing out if you own a PS3 and DONT own this game. Keep in mind I was NEVER a fan of hack and slash, and have never played a previous GOD of war besides Chains of olympus for PSP.

as a die-hard of the series, of course i am going to say that i loved it. was it a masterpeice? nearly, but no.

it starts off so good for the first half, actually three quarters. i really wasnt hyped on the ending too much at all. i dont want to give any spoilers away, but the business with athena didnt make too much sense. i felt that the titans once again got a backseat in the story. they coulda made the final battle with zeus a lil better too, but overall it was good. someone else metioned it as well, but the magics in this one were pretty weak. i also thought the game coulda been longer.

the voice acting and score were all top notch (as usual) i dissed the magic, but the weapons are excellent. theyre all fun and diverse. the rapid switch makes for some awesome combos! i think the claws of hades might be my new fav. the graphics are amazing. im still baffled how all the in game graphics are in most cases better than the cut scenes. great collision detection. the story and how its presented are perfect, i love the art style.

even though i have flaws listed, dont get it twisted. i LOVE this game. Im on my 2nd playthru now and this along with the gow collection will be the only games i have plats on.

this generation is filled with whiny gamers, so of course people will have issues with this game that reeks of pure AWESOME!

I agree.I perosnally didn't mind revisting old places and the voice changes tho.It was alittle short for me too.Still a great game.

Perfect game, though I wish it were a little longer.

Stop playing your first play throughs on easy/normal difficulties.

GoW3 isn't short by any means anyways. Just a bunch of cry babies who would prefer a dragged out story instead of one that is just action packed through out like GoW3's..

NG+ I think means having all of your stats and everything carry over into a new game.

yea you can play the game from scratch as much as you want.

There are however items that you can not use until you have beaten the game. I am not sure how far into it you are so I don't want to give anything away!

My only problem is 3 of the weapons play the same with minor differences. Kinda lame and safe since everybody but me enjoyed all the weapons except the blades. All well.
