It's not always a matter of differing tastes. I believe that sometimes it's the fact that some people feel compelled to go against the grain and dislike all things main stream and thus hitch their wagon to the star of a cult classic.

God of War 3 is God of War. Why reinvent a wheel that is rolling smoothly? This game had everything in my opinion, and yes the story was there I promise you. I don't feel the interactions felt forced.

[spoiler] Kratos seeing Pandora as his daughter only makes sense. His love for his wife and daugher are the driving force behind his need for vengance. Seeing this girl being trapped and used by Zeus when he's felt the same thing about himself only adds to the emotions he'd be feeling. Especially when she says they called her a monster. Think Kratos can relate? I do. [/spoiler]

There will always be haters. Being a fan and having issues with the game is different than bringing a game down because it's a genre you don't enjoy. Why come into a thread to "see whos opinion is worth listening to" when you already have made your decision and find the game deplorable by your high standards. (I hate QTE, and no games try new things. Really? Try Heavy Rain...oh yeah...QTE" Yet refuse to be open minded enough to try new things than really you're just a troll with a better vocabulary. Coming into a God of War thread and saying "I don't like this game because I don't like Kratos, I don't like violence, and I don't like sex scenes" is like going into a Madden thread and saying "I dislike this game because I don't like the NFL" it makes no sense and makes it painfully obvious you're just trying to create trouble.

People will always hate that which is popular. Just take solace in knowing that you're able to enjoy one of the best game series ever and don't let anyone ruin the experience for you.

And as to the above arguments - woah, this is a discussion. Does it matter if another person thinks its a disappointment for him? It's suddenly fair for you to judge his taste? Should another person who got disappointed affect your experience with the game? No.

And to the comments with "There is always a minority that gets disappointed with games?" Yes, there is. I'm a big GOW fanboy, but that doesn't stop me from seeing where the series has faltered.

But mark this everyone - this is an awesome game in terms of overall gameplay and there are few games which compare to it. But this seems to be the weakest in the series.

Bah, I'll have my disappointments end when the new God of War game comes out ;)

(Basic gist of what I said is - just because certain people are disappointed, it doesn't mean that you guys have a right to judge them or their views. It's their paradigm guys. Chill out.)

when I see people complaining about the length of a game when it is 10 hours long I get upset because I know they are playing on the little boys and girls difficulty.

9 times out of 10 the only complaint people have for this game is that its too short. Stop playing it on the little kid difficulties people.

This thread was in the time of GOW 2. I was doing a TM: NUR (Very Hard Mode - No Upgrade Run) and this thread details how I completed my run. This is I think the second last page of me completing my run. If you want further proof, you can go back some pages and see for yourself. And in that thread you'll also notice I do the NURs for the first game too, one of which is a GM : NUR - Very Hard Mode No Upgrade Run...

And I'm currently doing a GOW 2 TM: NUR + (with unupgraded health and magic) and GK:TM:NUR (General Kratos: Very Hard Mode : No Upgrade Run)... This run was pending for almost 3 years, but I finally got back into it.

So before you say I "play at little kid difficulties" I want you to read the above and then try telling this to me.

And I started GOW 3 on Titan... I always started the GOW games on Hard mode for first playthrough because I know the game is cakewalk on the lower difficulties. I did this for my first playthroughs in GOW 1,2, Chains of Olympus and 3.

like I said most people who complain play it on the easy difficulties. you clearly aren't one of them. cry me a river. most people ******* in here cry about length in games and play on easy difficulties and wonder why they run through them so fast.

Dude people are ALWAYS going to be disappointed with everything. I could give 50 people $1000, and I'm sure one of those 50 people would be disappointed that it wasn't enough.

Most say its too short and since they removed new game plus even less replayability. So how much do you like GoW3 ?
