the fact u can't play dowloaded psp games on a ps3 and/or it doesn't have a umd port cuz it would be so easy to put psp controls on a ps3mcdogit

You know, there's already something that plays downloaded PSP games, can play UMDs, and has pretty good PSP controls.

I would have had them shoot for a much lower launch price for one thing. Or perhaps have had the camera launched with it in the box (this way the accessory would have seen much greater support).

As for something that they could still change now: I would like them to encourage developers to avoid installs if at all possible. Especially within the fighter and racing genres... these are the type I think you would be most likely to bring over to a friend's house (or have them bring it to yours), so really they should be up and running ASAP (and not be a possible burden on theirs or your HDD).

And a vaster PS Store with all the good games of the PS1 and PS2 DealRogers

PS2 game downloads are pretty much no-go at this point. These would still need compatible hardware, which apparently won't be sold after September. (and of course already leaves out all of the 40GB owners)

Well, having the option to install is one thing... Forcing users to install is another matter. Most developers aren't doing it to make the game loads any faster, but rather just to compensate for the relatively slow seek speeds of Blu-ray. (which there are other ways of doing)

The greatest obstacle there seems to be the fact that publishers are basically required to ship their games throughout the EU simultaneously. This means not only having to translate, but also adjust the content according to censorship laws in different countries all at once.

Installs are already a part of many PS3 games. Unlike PCs, these don't offload the entire game however... just a portion. The idea is to lessen load times by placing critical stuff on the much faster hard drive. Unfortunately many developers are using it as a crutch to compensate for inherent limitations with the blu-ray drive.

That's an interesting article. It's interesting to hear that some of the installs are the result of laziness on the part of the devs. I have to admit though that installs don't really bother me that much, only a little.

On topic I would like to see more improvements to the web browser including more memory for multiple web pages and media players.

As Sony i would secure exclusives, timed exclusive, exclusive content. I would also make SCEE, SCEA, SCEJ work together better.

i would try to make the PSN multi-regional, support PS1 game, bring back PS2 backwards compatibility and fire Jack Tretton and hire Phil Harrison again.
