Yeah, it's unfortunate that developers are starting to neglect the split screen mode. Online play is NOT the end all solution!

sadly it seems that this generation gamer doesnt have real friends.
1) I'll fire Howard Stringer who treats PS3 only as a BD player and a media center. He's already too old to care about gaming and gamers anyway.
2) I'll give 10 times the funding as what SCE has right now. So exclusives can be secured and more ads can be shown on the medias.
3) Buy out Square-Enix, fire their CEO, halt FF13 till 2010 and start a PS3 exclusive FF14.
Yeah, I was just kidding on the last one. But for the 1st two, I'm pretty dang serious.
1. unlock the grapics card so linux isn't gimped. Really defeats the purpose of having it avaiable
2. make streaming vob's to the ps3 easier, why make all the other file variations so easy to use and now vob?
3. allow external hard drives FULL access to use as one pleases...enough with the pointless regulations that only effect the honest users.
4. switch to 3.5 instead of 2.5 internal hard drives, You take away BC but still use the expensive 2.5 hard drives that makes ALOT OF SENSE.
5. drop the price on your 3 year old games already so i might actually buy one!
4. switch to 3.5 instead of 2.5 internal hard drives, You take away BC but still use the expensive 2.5 hard drives that makes ALOT OF SENSE.

3.5" drives would require a larger bay, necessitating a major redesign of both the innards and possibly the outer casing. I also imagine cooling and noise suppression would be a bigger issue.
cooling should actually be the same or less as being bigger gives it more area to cool off, the parts/speeds are pretty much the same just a a few more platters. they should have designed it around the 3.5 to begin with tho i see your point how it could be a problem right now to do it, letting people use external drives to there fullest would come close, just not sure on the speeds of usb compared to the interal sata
PS3 Wish List:
1. More available colors
2. A/V input for HD/SD recording.
3. Firefox web browser
4. Larger RAM
5. 802.11N/G
6. BT earpiece that works syncs as easily as the controller
7. Game instals and PSN downloads on external HD optional
8. IR remote option
9. Cut price to $299.99
10. Skype
11. Ship with longer usb cord
12. More visualizations for music playback
13. PS BLOG live stream on XMB
14. Automatic updating
15. Yahoo MSG

Why are you pointing things out in peoples' posts? This thread is asking a hypothetical question, there's no need to take peoples' answers so literally.
Securing exclusives.
Faster development of software and projects (Home).
More great exclusives to come.
I have to say though, they did a pretty good job at E3.
[QUOTE="mcdogit"]the fact u can't play dowloaded psp games on a ps3 and/or it doesn't have a umd port cuz it would be so easy to put psp controls on a ps3AnFangs_Endes
You know, there's already something that plays downloaded PSP games, can play UMDs, and has pretty good PSP controls.
It's called a PSP.
i have a psp but i would much rather play the games on my ps3.
I would focus on games like rpg's more cus I am getting a bit fed up with forst person shooters all the time. What happened to decent fighting, puzzle or strategy games?jai_shailer
they went out of fashion, the same as finished and polished games did.
Whoa...I didn't think this thread would go this long. o_oSymphonycomethfor some reason all your threads go this long
1. getting devs to add support for keyboard and mouse (true mouse look, not emulated stick movement) in shooting games.
2. splitting up the servers for said shooting games into 3 categories
--controller
--keyboard/mouse
--mixed
That way it shuts up the lamers that would otherwise complain that keyboard/mouse would unbalance online.

Presumably the internal drive would be a lot faster. Now I've heard of special adapters that let you use an external SATA drive in place of the internal one...

I like this idea actually. Though I think controller users would find the mixed mode to be virtual suicide. :P

they already have dual layered Blu-ray disks, MGS4 is on one lolluke-9493
In fact Blu-ray can have more than just two... though I've read that the PS3 itself is limited to that.
in game music across the board like the 360
full ipod support like the 360
more colors
either a updated web browser with updates flash players or firefox as a browser
maybe having a linux os like ubuntu built in so then you can choose the linux os or in game xmb
more ram for the web broswer
be able to use a external hd as a device to save files, content. also allow support of hard drives in different formats besides fat32.
