Well they havent even said if it was going to beonline or offline co-op, but still why would that make you mad? I see all these people complaining about how the game is ruined and that NDis atrador and I'm really confuse to why people are outrage about it. I mean really how is multiplayer bad? It adds to re-playability and fun with friends. Is the Uncharted fanbase anti-social or something? Anyways its not like your force to play the multiplayer.

Uncharted was originally loved because it had an epic single player experience, withthe possibility of multiplayer, there is a chance that they will put less effort into the single player to make the multiplayer, thus taking good content away from the single player loving gamers that purchased the original.

And on another note, this is all just a rumour, theres isn't even any confirmation that the source was telling the truth.

Come on guys, you really need to stop complaining. Even if it is true, I doubt the single player will be worse. Naughty dog said in an interview that the story will be bigger and better than the first.

I wouldn't be mad at it at all. But just like R&C: Up your arsenal. It's a mode I would rarely use.

i really hate this sort of thing. there are some games designed for MP and some for SP, sometimes both. But Uncharted is a game designed for SP not MP, and i believe MP would ruin it if they did this game.

Stick to the single player campaign Naughty Dog.

The time that you guys would spend on MP should either be spent on Co-Op, polishing the game even more, or using that time towards creating a Jak and Daxter game for the PS3.

No point tacking on an online MP mode that people probably won't play. Especially when you have to go up against FPS titans like Modern Warfare 2 and Killzone 2.

Then again, if we get something along the lines of Gears of War MP, then I won't complain. I am more focused on single player for a game like this.

You guys don't even know what it will be like and you're already assuming it's just going to be tacked on. I trust Naughty Dog, and if they're going to add multiplayer I trust they'll do it right.

Nuaghty Dog has a good enough track record in my book (nearly 15 years on sony consoles) to make quality games. I've never seen them half ass any of their titles and i don't expect it to be any different w/ this one.

Naughty Dog has been ANNOUNCED as working on Uncharted 2 since April of 2008 when they were interview by a French gaming mag. They asked what was Naughty Dogs next step after seeing Uncharted finally take of, to which they replied "Were hard at work on Uncharted 2" .... this is absolutely NO reason to think that there focus has NOT been on single player for the past year, adding co-op play now (which isnt due out untill November 20th according to 1up.com) gives them PLENTY of time to work on it so it wont feel "tacked on"... as for a competitive multiplayer, who gives a **** they have already been working on SP for over a year and they still have 7 months to go before release. Just take a chill pill, it wont detract from the single player part of it at all.

For Real! What is wrong with people who complain about multiplayer?

Just unplug your iternet and play the single all you want.

Why complain about and extra option?

I agree with people that are upset about this. I think that's the thing that is really killing this generation of games. Games that use to be epic single player games like Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, and Grand Theft Auto are getting crappy multiplayer modes that aren't needed. What's so wrong with a game telling a good story through a single player experiance.

I've even seen people online playing Resistance 2 that have millions of EXP on multiplayer, but haven't played through even the first level of the single player campaign! People are seriously only buying games for the multiplayer, when they're all the same deathmatch, team deathmatch, CTF crap over and over again. That's why we have no original games anymore. Most people only want a bland multiplayer experiance.

I'm not upset, I'm just a bit confused as how they are going to do it. To me multiplayer is usually bad news because developers bother to put online multiplayer/co-op for online only. Saints row 2 annoyed me with that. I mean if they can put the effort in to have online co-op why not have local co-op aswell? It just doesn't make sense to me.

As long as they don't pull off Resistance 2 on me I'll not have anything against well done multiplayer option. I absolutely enjoyed original Resistance Single Player but in R2 it was tarnished and really went downhill.. I never understood why change the strategy and introduce something new in a new IP game that works fantastic.

I'm leaning for Uncharted to stay phenomenal single player experience. Some games do not need require multiplayer.. I'm really starting to miss superb story told last generation PS and PS2 games..they are so little this generation.

I think a certain other game is affecting people's desire for MP in a game like Uncharted 2 *Cough RE5 cough*.

This. We've seen great single-player games without an online experience, and Uncharted is one of those. Titles like Bioshock and Uncharted have terrific single-player experiences, and we don't want those to get butchered by a focus on the online component, adding additional dev time and costing precious time towards refining and improving the single-player segment. Too many games have had their single-player botched up to satisfy the multiplayer crowd. This is especially true for the FPS and TPS genre, including FarCry 2, Dark Sector, Gears of War 1/2, Killzone 2, etc.
