Socom was one of my favorite series for the ps2. The online play was among the best for the consoles. The only problem I ever had with socom was that the graphics really weren't all that great. I really think it could be an amazing PS3 game with next gen graphics. i was wonderng If anyone had heard any news as to when and if they would be coming out with a PS3 socom game?
If they were to make a SOCOM for the PS3 it wouldn't be next-gen graphics, it would be current-gen graphics. =)heyheydoh

 oh ya didnt you hear zipper was baguth by sony, so now sony can help them make better games, so most likely it will be amazing, and expect somthing to be said in e3, or later in the fall. but i love the game to

 I've been waiting for this from day one. I just hope they listen to the fans and make it more like Socom 2. The others weren't that good. The maps were overly complicated and well, I just didn't like them much.

i think the joke was that the next gen is now. so stop saying next gen.
The problem with Socom isnt the graphics...its the lag, broken gameplay, dull maps, lack of decent online coop, CODE 9...CODE MAGIC, no custom characters, where are the urban enviroments........so many things it is still my favorite game though.
Sorry guys but I always thought that SOCOM was TERRIBLE! Just my opinion but damn if I am not in the minority. You Socom fans are definatly devoted. I personally think that the BF series is much better.
