Listen i dont have a PS3, and i dont know if im going one, but Socom confrontation is coming out, and if they base it on Socom 2 then i dunno, I have a PS2 and i still play Socom 2, find me Escapie 12339, but i thought the series went downhill after they introduced vehicles, that ruinded the gameplay for me, i liked to fishflop and hop, for those hardcore fans, i was a Lt Commander rated always lower than 70000, i was the Jewish School Boys clan which was rated 200th or lower in the world, i loved Crossroads, Fishhook, Enwaopi, respawn on frostfire, and it was sad that i will never play with my clan mates again, hopefully they get the message and bring back the old style of socom
thats the only game i've ever done clan matches with and they were awesome. our clan tried to transition over to socom 3 but we lost a lot of people. the small maps were ok in socom 3...but its true that the maps were just too big and the fun of meeting someone in battle within 15 sec of the map beginning was lost. i'm hoping for a return to socom 2 again....and i already have my ps3 waiting for confrontations release (and i only have resistance to tide me over!)
yeah i was definately a fan of SOCOM 2/3 and since SOCOM CONFRONTATION is all online, i think they will have a variety of big/small, vehicle/no vehicle modes so you sould be good
FrostFire was awesome. I kinda wish you could play in the full oil rig map from the 3rd level of the first game and maybe even the second level from the first which was the one with the snow and during the day which is awesome lol. I hate jungles and a bit tired of deserts myself.

GS says its coming out in Nov. but i doubt they're gonna make that date, maybe like Q1 2008 like what IGN says in their release dates. However, it is still possible they release it next month, just unlikely.
I enjoy all 4 plus the Bravo series on the PSP in single player mode. I go back to Socom CA from time to time trying to get the very last badge in single player (above and beyond). This badge requires finshing all instant mission games at the rank of Admiral. As for vehicles they are ok in the rite place like calling in a air strike on a tank (I like it when the missle hits the tank it raises it off the ground). Or when I get to drive a vehicle with a gun mount that one of the team mates can take out a bad guy usually without even stopping the vehicle or just run over the target instead (I do that when I want to do something a little different (even can be done with boats when a bad guy jumps into the water to get away from the gunners).

no your wrong. They already said for confrontation they are sticking with close urban type of maps, no vehicles, the way socom should be.
Why don't you ask that Seth dude, the head of all this?
As far as I'm concerned (former fan) Socom died when they released that garbage called Socom 3 and try to put a salt filled band-aid on it to nickle and dime everyone with Combined Assault. Zipper is a joke, Seth is a joke and they drove their own game into the ground cause they lost touch with reality. Seth's even said himself that he doesn't give a crap about the Socom fanbase.
