[QUOTE="gayguy"]Troll!!masterchef1000are you joking or not?
that's nice...and the point of subtely bragging about what you own and can afford is????? .........issues.nosobriety
no issues. just excited. fresh start for me. barely making it right now. dead end job and been wanting to get back into school full time. considering no family, no friends, and no help from work to accomplish my educational goals, i figured military was a great way to go.
fresh start, better standards, getting money to go back to school, and serving my country is an awesome combination
and thanks for all the support gentlemen.
i'm going to try out for special operations command (but from what i've read and heard, it's pretty damn hard and a majority of the guys who do make it are ex special forces (seals, rangers, berets, recon, etc.). one can dream though). worse comes to worse though, i want to be a medic. something hands on and in the field. after serving my full term, i might reenlist and try to get on the right track to becoming a doctor if things work out
After serving for a while you should try going AFROTC at whatever college is near you, thats what I'm doing I got a scholarship to the University Of Alabama for the Army ROTC, and it helps a hell of a lot. That could get you on your way to being a doc too, and you can go into the nursing corps too. Check it out man its a good deal plus, with your knowledge from basic, you will get good standing fast and will be picked out to teach those that are still living in cadet land lol.and thanks for all the support gentlemen.

After reading all these posts, I have realized just how serious and noteworthy your "sacrafice" really is, so God bless, stay safe, and game on...afterwards, of course.
Like I always say nowadays...
Learn from the past, pay for the present, play in the future!
Corny, I know, but I've found this true in almost all cases in my life so far. Hope this helps you. Heh.

awesome suggestion. that will definitely be an option, but that will depend on two things. how much they will help with school after my term along with how much i do enjoy serving

As for how much they help with school, if you qualify for the scholarship, then you will get a full ride, and a stipend(plus drill pay if you go that route too) book money and all that fun stuff right now they dont pay for housing but in a couple of years my major said that they are gonna try and add that in as well though im sure you would have your own place anyway so u wouldnt hae to worry about dorm money lol. The second part is all up to you lol everybody has different experiences of course lol. But yeah, anyway man good luck with whatever you choose who knows we might run into each other someday lolTake a chill pill not everyones a friggin troll you insecure little man[QUOTE="longhorn7"][QUOTE="nanomecha4"]Mods...this thread doesnt belong here. :::cough:: BS ::cough:: Like i said TC you should have made this a blog post instead of cluttering this board with your story.Good thing you sold your 360 too, before it broke down on you, since they have a 15% defect rate.nanomecha4
actually i think i was on my 3rd or 4th. can't remember. maybe it's just me though b/c i tend to have really bad luck with consoles. one of the big reasons I didn't feel guilty selling it
