I also see a bunch 360s on the shelves so does that mean there's a lack of interest in 360s. I also see a lot of Ipods on the shelves, so maybe Ipod interest is in decline. pimperjonesI'm puttin that in my sig
of course that's no lack of interest, they sold 240k unit in January, that's a good number. It was outsold by the xbox 360 which is a year old and Wii
Bash it whatever u want, but that's still good number.

The Wii outsolde the PS3 in a two to one ratio, eh? Well, that's logical, cause the PS3 is twice as much as the Wii. So, if you take the systems' value into consideration, the PS3 is selling as much as the Wii. :wink:glitch2424Yes, but could Nintendo sell as many Wii's if it cost $600? I think not.

I'm gonna go grow some cabbages. pimperjonesyou didn't know, Potatoes are so not hipped now, nobody want to eat them , now we eat onion, did you heard that Macdonald gonna sell onion ring as well.. Well, once you get the seasonings and the sauce for the onion, you might as well have gotten a potato in the first place. Then again, they are growing new onions as we speak that are more like potatoes. ;) So I guess that everybody that has an onion will have to get a newer onion just to spite the potato.LOL!!!!! Thats awesome!!! Keep the sarcasm up because there is too much console bashing and not enough people talking about positive points on all consoles.
Negativity is a spreading disease!!!

rolf nice try, whatever helps you sleep at night. You people are just as bad as Sony, denying the fact that it didn't sell as good as expected. I could understand if you're saying that the PS3 is making as much of a profit as a Wii(sure in hell not).
As much as I like PlayStation, I really wasn't impressed. The people at Sony are the ones making their product look bad "rumble is last-gen" lmao. Flame me all you want, Nintendo has been dogged out for years now, doubt most of you were sticking up for them(like I know you wouldn't). So don't cry fanboys the PS3's potential will really shine soon....hopfully anyway
People are not buying a PS3 mainly because the game they want isn't out yet. That's the biggest reason. Wait for huge sellers such as Final Fantasy or Metal Gears and they'll sell very well. There isn't a lack of interest, the PS3 is the second best selling console ever. In January, with only a single great game out, it sold just barely less consoles than the X360 with all its games.Nope, Wii outsold because it's dirt cheap. People are still buying PS3 whether u like it or not, just not as much as Wii.
The Wii is outselling it, but Nintendo is always strong at launch, because they come out with great launch titles. Their problem is that they slow down after and the great games are scarce after a few years.
It's just like a car race. Small cars have better a start than big cars, but it the long run, the big car will beat the small car for sure. And a game isn't won by who is in first at the first half of the first lap. This means that whoever is first, it doesn't mean anything, since the majority of people who will buy a next gen console still haven't do it. The big market is still out there, and games coming out in 2007 and 2008 will determinate who gets those customers.

No, Wii outsold the PS3 because it has good games, and just plain fun as well. Stop trying to put down the Wii's success. But your right the price is a selling point too(not exactly dirt cheap) but there's more to it than just that

No Wii outsold Sony cause it's dirt cheap. Thats partly why I bought one, having never played GameCube games I thought I could hit two birds with one stone. Wii doesn't have too many good games either, I own 2 games for Wii Red Steel and Zelda thats it. half the games for Wii are lame. Like I'm gonna spend money on Metal Slug again, or some collection of minigames that look like they were drawn by my niece. I bought more GameCube games than I did Wii games. If Wii cost 600 it would have sold even less than PS3 garanteed. It's a bargain bin console good for new comers and adults trying to shut their kid up without breaking the bank. divide the amount of Wii's sold and match it with the amount of money spent by consumers on PS3 and it evens out. For every one PS3 sold you can buy two Wiis, thats the real reason Wii sold more.[QUOTE="glitch2424"]The Wii outsolde the PS3 in a two to one ratio, eh? If it's all about good games, XBOX 360 will beat Wii anytimes. Face it it's the price. XBOX 360 has so much good games that it will make a wii cry. If Wii cost 600 it would have sold even less than PS3 garanteed. It's a bargain bin console good for new comers and adults trying to shut their kid up without breaking the bank. divide the amount of Wii's sold and match it with the amount of money spent by consumers on PS3 and it evens out. For every one PS3 sold you can buy two Wiis, thats the real reason Wii sold more. for the love of god, are you really that stupid? yeah the wii is just a cheap system that doesn't do anything new at all. how about the fact that it's innovative and it's a system that a whole family can play, let alone allowing people who had no interest in getting a game system to get involved. and the fact that you're actually saying "if the wii cost 600..." shows your serious lack of an IQ. it's not going to cost $600 because guess what, nintendo was smart enough to make a cheaper system that everyone could afford and even decided to not shove as much as a DVD player down consumers throats. if there is one thing i could ever ask from any fanboy at all, is please quit being so freaking idiotic. i actually read some of these posts feeling dumber afterwards that someones obsession with a product is making them to not stop for a minute and think. half the games on the wii are lame? that's a hell of a lot better than what, the 75% the suck on the PS3, no? but that doesn't matter, since bottom line that's all about personal opinion. there's a lot of people out there happy with the wii's selection - warioware, zelda, excite truck, madden - you name it people are buying them. same is somewhat true with the PS3, i just don't find enough people that enthused about it. and don't even bring up how the money between the two evens out. that's just stupid. you're not proving anything because for one, sony loses money on every PS3 they sell where nintendo is making a profit which throws your whole retarded argument right out the door. and not to mention more importantly, the wii outselling the PS3 in a 2 to 1 ratio means exactly that, there are more wii's in more households in the world than there are PS3's. it's as simple as that. look, i know a lot of you are frusterated and i don't blame you. you spent $600 on a system that has yet to prove itself, and half of you are defending your investment more on these forums than you are actually enjoying your purchase. believe it or not, i understand that and i expect future games to change all that so some of you can actually be happy for a change. but in reality, defending idiotic claims such as this is only adding fuel to the fire. just learn to live and relax about it. sony is getting a lot of dirt kicked in their faces right now and it's better to question why and think for yourself than continue to sound like nothing more than one of their toy soldiers. Please Log In to post.
