Sony has to pull a miracle tommorow.

Seriously, they were insulted today by the MS conference. MS stole all their exclusives the past few years and now FFXIII, the title which PS3 owners were most looking forward to. And then they challenged them saying they are confident that the 360 will outsell the PS3 this generation.

Let's see how they(Sony) will stick to their end of the bargain. Anybody remember them saying that they're willing to pay money to buy exclusives as well games being their top priority right now?

I feel like my PS3 has less meaning now that FFXIII is coming to 360 as well, even though I think FFVersus13 looks cooler.

Rest of what MS announced was just casual crap, IMO. I was expecting to see more exclusives but they didn't show much at all. FFXIII was what saved them, and stomped sony as of now.

I was just as shocked as much the next guy when I heard about but if you think about it, this is going to barely benefit microsoft. the reason I say that is because FFXIII is exclusive for Japan which is who microsoft was trying to capture, the Japanese crowd, so that was just epic failure on that part, plus i heard the NA/EU version will be timed exclusive for PS3 and people will buy that one for sure which leaves microsoft with the leftovers.BC20FLY

Look, if Versus wasn't exclusive it would've been announced in the conference. As long as it's not announced, it's PS3 exclusive.

And during the kotaku blog, someone asked if Versus would be multiplat, SE give a big fat No.

Nintendo? The Wii is awesome and it's tons of fun, but it's not close to either the PS3 or the XBox in turns of the whole deal. I mean, we have to put aside fandom and look at the facts. I love the PS3. I have a website for it that costs me tons of money.

But it has major catching up to do and that gap grew significantly this morning. I'll take PS3 exclusives over XBOX 360 exclusives all day. But this is about the bigger picture that Sony is having problems keeping up with. It's sad but true.

So what? It's still better than what the PS3 has in terms of entertainment value. Who cares if it was lifted and changed? Microsoft was founding on piracy. But they now rule the computer world and Gates is the richest man on the planet.

MS said they're positive they're going to sell more than the PS3 this gen...well isn't that really kind of a no brainer? I'm not bashing Sony, but the 360 sold like 5:1 or 4:1 (can't remember) and even if Sony did do something amazing and ended up selling the PS3 like hotcakes and MS didnt sell another 360, it would still take a long time for the PS3 to actually catch up and this current gen could very well be ending by the time the PS3 caught up to the 360 in sales. Plus, MS has been out a whole year longer than the PS3 and thats not even mentioning the PS3's high launch price. If they were both out for the same time and the PS3's price was what it is now, then there wouldn't be as big of a sales gap.

I understand that the point of E3 is to get people excited about what you have instead of what other people have, but that doesn't mean MS has to be like a little school girl and trash talk Sony. I guess the people that run MS aren't any more mature than the people on XBL...

It's funny how one game, ONE game can supposedly bring Sony down. I guess that's testament to the FF series. Truth be told, i got my ps3 for two major games, and of cause everything in between, but majorly, FFXIII and MGS4. Now I'm not so much of a fanboy, if ffxiii is any good as ffx was (for me), then yes, i would love others to play it.

The biggest worry i have is that due to being multiplat, ffxiii won't utilise the ps3's full power, not per se saying that xbox is the weaker console, but simply by looking at previous multiplats, they usually can't compete with ps3 exclusives (not all, like cod4 was good). After playing mgs4, i had high hopes that square-enix could match or better that game, they're a company i know that can pull it off. Now i'm kinda iffy about whether it can stand up to mgs4. But going multiplat, hopefully doesn't deminish the quality.

And while i don't mind ffxiii going to the xbox, their reasoning surely must mean they want to port those 'xbox exclusive' games they're making to the ps3 as well shouldn't it? Like Infinite Undiscovery? I know last remnant is a timed exclusive (hopefully not a long one). And star ocean? well microsoft has some handwork in that game (i think) so i'd understand if it didn't come. Basically it would be bull if they didn't port over games they intended to make exclusive for the xbox too in my opinion.
