I was reading this article from IGN: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/877/877899p1.html

I was thinking this would be a great visualizer like the Earth visualizer when playing music and not so much a game.

What are your thoughts?

It's interesting and innovative approach. While I know for sure many gamers will not be to found of watching then rather playing, I'm sure title like this will spark lots of interest.

If its priced reasonably, it will only make it more appealing.

I think it is a great idea, but i do not think if SONY is earning, or loosing money with this, i dont think most of the gamers want to play a game of gardening

seems ok, their trying to get into the casual market some. At least they come out and admit that it isn't really a game unlike some games for wii. I am not trying to bash Nintendo, but at least sony came out and said what it is. That said no one is going to pay $400 to play a gardening game.

Harvest Moon was a gardening game... that was different. Viva Pinata was kinda like a gardening game, and that was actually a pretty fun game. I didn't read your link because I'm super lazy, but a gardening game can work. I wouldn't think so if I hadn't seen it done already, but it's possible.

i think sony wants to be too innovative trying to create new genres of videogaming but im not too sure they will succed

Hmmm something else new for once, Sony is really being innovative lately first Arika now this. These games dont appeal to me because im a gun slinger/sword slashing/bomb dropping/blood and guts type of gamer but im sure these type of titles sony's working on will have their audience.

Sounds really cool, they should turn this into an interactive background, I hope more interesting and different games keep getting made.

This actually sounds really cool. I never thought I would be saying that about virtual gardening. Then again, the thought of virtual gardening never occured to me.
