Im happy for what I have now. I dont need any of those options.

$70 a year is a lot...it only averages to about $5.83 a month which isn't too bad, but it's still a lot more money than I would rather spend. I mean it might be worth it, but at the same time you could've bought a brand new game for less than that.

Ill stick to plying for free.

Why are all these options jumbled up? Why can I not have FREE access to PSONE Classics, PSP MINIS, PS3 Dynamic Themes and Access to Betas?

And what exactly are some of these;

Full Title Trial-1st Hour Free.

Trophy Alerts (don't we already get those lol?)

Automatic Downloads and Updates (Eh? Can't sign in anyway without updating)

Loyalty Program Rewards (Hm?)

User to User Challenges?

how would free access to psone classics work out? would you be able to order the service for one month and dl all the psone classics you desire, because i really don't see how this option would work without costing sony.

hmm i dont like this. i feel they should gave one premium service that offers everything. im prolly gunna go with option 2 but i wish it included the discless netflix like the other option does.

sounds plausible, being a future pswii owner it would definitely be worth it to even get the service for one month to try the games and see if you liked them. then if you did you could purchase them knowing you like the game.

Cross-game chat as a premium feature is a bad idea. That's a basic functionality that everyone should have (plus what's the point if half of your friends can't do it?).

But this is just a survey of potential options, not what it's actually going to be.

Just because 1 console has that option all should? Please, that feature is not free on the other service either and Sony is offering alot more than chat for it's paid subscribers. Think about it, I'm glad Sony is finally going to charge people for the features they whine about not having. I'm perfectly happy with what Sony is offering me right now.

Wow, some of those features are really nice. Shame that some of them are split up (like the extended warranty), but we'll see what happens. The 1-hour trial, access to PS1 games and Dynamic Themes, and the store discounts are the ones I like the most. If you buy a lot of content already you'll probably make up the 70 bucks just from the free access to PS1 games and discounts on DLC and other stuff.

That's not for me. Free online was a considerable part of my decision to buy a PS3. While the 360 was cheaper, I realized that the PS3 would be cheaper in the longrun after not paying $50 to playonline for several years.

If you pay for 1 month of option "A" would you get the 3 year warranty? And pay for cross-game chat is stupid. I can see them adding it just to say "we have it so stop complaining!". No way would I that feature when almost no one else would have it.

EDIT: Also two options would have been much better. 1 MAX option with everything and one RECOMMENDED option with half the stuff and then what we have now is pretty much MINIMUM.

This is so stupid... If it weren't for the fact that they're losing money, they'd all add those awesome features (cross game chat, trophy alerts) for free... Now I'm gonna have to pay 70 bux for it? Not as greedy and disrespectful as Microsoft (price to play), still... Thanks, but no thanks.

man what a way to kill the ps3 i already spend like $40+ a month on mine, now this will just make it worse not to mention multiple accounts. im sick of them making priority things, if this happens then this will be my final generation of video games. lets hope they stick to just the free service
