technically, i do think Macs make better computers... if you only use your computer for web access, video editing, and other media-focused programs (like Flash). not to mention that Macs are able to recognize PC files such as .ppt and .doc.
but if you are a PC gamer... you just need a PC. Macs just don't cut it for gaming.
Here is your logic:
There is a hole in the ground so dark you can't see to the bottom, therefore, you infer that the hole must be infinitely deep.
Things like this can't be that simply argued. I work with Macs all day at my work, but that doesnt mean I use it at home. I still prefer my PC. Macs are MORE reliable, dont get me wrong on that, and they generally have a very good shelf life as compared to PC's. But quite honestly, its a PC world out there, very few games are developed for Mac and PC's generally have the better options(most video files on the internet are running on WMV. but that is changing with newer Flash players). The point I am trying to make is that you are looking at the issue too easily. Just because some people perfer to buy a PS3 over a 360 doesnt infer that they primarily use Mac's. In other words, your treading on the shores of Fanboyism. You obviously dont like Macs, and you dont like PS3, so your trying to find out if everyone is "right" like you in thinking that Macs are dumb and Sony and PS3 are dumb. Lets try next time to appreciate what each console brings, whether it be Sony, MS, Nintendo, or even Apple.
how can Sony be "teaming up on the industry giant" when Sony was the first to release a 3D console? and in the gaming industry, Sony IS the industry giant.
and no, Sony users aren't Mac users. I have 3 PCs running Windows, and I am also a .Net developer(Microsoft created programming languages). So no, PS3 owners aren't against Microsoft.
I recently switched to mac because I needed a new computor and did not want to deal w/ Vista , on the other hand I have a Xbox 360 and have desire to get a PS3.
i have a Wii, A 360, a PS3, a MAc G5 and a PC..........
in general i'd say Nintendo and Mac have most in common in terms of philosophy and user friendlyness.
I use a PC because I'm not crazy, I like to play games on my computer. I've been using Windows for 13 years, it's hard to just kick it to the curb. I prefer Mac's for video and audio production, but as much contempt as I have for MS, I can't switch to Mac completely until they become a force in the gaming industry. Blizzard seems to be the only company that bothers making Mac versions of games.
I do own an iPod, though, and I think it's one of the most culturally relevant products to be made in my lifetime. I've only owned Sony consoles since the NES days, but I'm not such a loyalist that I would buy the Sony MP3 Walkman or anything. I like how Sony makes consoles, so I buy them. Simple as that. For me, at least, there is no correlation between Sony and Apple, though I would love to see them team up and take MS down for the good of all mankind.
My school made a deal with apple and bought like so many macs and stuff from apple. I don't even do my work at school because its a waste of time. I cannot function on apples. The computers are slow and people vandalize them. Our school thinks they were making a economical choice but in reality they just threw money down the drain. And the vandalization cracks me up theres like missing keys and permenant marker on the screens and stolen periaphials. hillaroius. Jaster_DCX
Yes, it's hilarious how the taxes your parents (and I) pay go straight down the ****ter because the ungrateful brats that you go to school with don't understand the value of money or education. Hahahahahaaaalarious! ;)
Macs do suck to work on when you're used to a PC, I remember trying to use them when I was in school and it was a chore.
I Love Sony hate Mac simple as that and in no way is Sony small trust me Sony is one of the very Powerhouses in the Electronics Industry Microsoft just got into the gaming realm Sony's been doing this since flat tops and Filas.Karycam718
PC gaming has been around a lot longer that Sony consoles which came out in the 90s.
i use Windows always have done, i also owned a Xbox and own a 360
And no one is "Teaming up" on MS, its them that see every1 as an enemy they MUST beat and flame them, this pushes other companies tobe more agressive back... Think agro, MS deals way to much DMG...
I own a PS3 and going to get a Mac. Mac can run OS X and Windows, and they don't get viruses, spyware, and that stuff. So I don't see why not.Snow4me
Ok first, I saw this and No! Just NO! Less of those, sure, but there are still quite a few viruses/spyware/etc.Trust me, I work in IT and service macs for a living. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. I hearit all the time, and it's simply wrong. Don't believe the propoganda! heh.
That said, I own a PS3 and prefer Windows for my home computer. I use a Mac at work, but read the first the part. Not much choice. Macs may be good computers, but for my hard earned dollar, I prefer the Windows environment.

Well, if you're running Windows on your Mac, you're still open to the same viruses, spyware, etc.that other Windows users get, just so you know. If you're running OS X, there are less viruses, spyware, etc. but there still is some.
Windows is good on PC's but sucks on consoles.
PS1-Sony did the 1st jump from cartridge to CD
PS2-Sony did the 2nd jump from CD to DVD
PS3-Sony's doing the 3rd jump from DVD to Bluray
it seems that SONY>all
the others just try and keep up
Okay, I have a friend who has a PS3 and hates all other consoles (btw, I'm a proud 360 owner, but this isn't a flame topic) and he also has a Mac and consistently tries to make people believe that Macs are better than PC's. Anyways, I studied this and realized that the true thing here is that Sony and Mac are practically teaming up against the industry giant, who would subsequently turn into the little guy, if you think about it. Anyways, I'm wondering if people who are Sony addicts, are also inherently Mac users. Any responses?pyrobrand
I have both a Mac and a Pc...check out my blog.
In conclusion, you should have stopped reading already....because this is my sig.:P.vegetattack15
Lol that worked well, didnt notice till i hit the end
But anyhow, indeed this topic is pretty much based off the stupidity of a MSfan who thinks PS3 owners hate everything non-Sony... Wrong, wrong and wrong again with wrongness on top served to you on a plate made of fine wrong straight from the lands of wrong...
