Okay, I have a friend who has a PS3 and hates all other consoles (btw, I'm a proud 360 owner, but this isn't a flame topic) and he also has a Mac and consistently tries to make people believe that Macs are better than PC's. Anyways, I studied this and realized that the true thing here is that Sony and Mac are practically teaming up against the industry giant, who would subsequently turn into the little guy, if you think about it. Anyways, I'm wondering if people who are Sony addicts, are also inherently Mac users. Any responses?pyrobrand
I'm using Windows XP right now but detest a lot of things about the 360 and never plan on owning one. I'm also a PS3 lover. Does that throw your logic off any?

Uhmm, no. Ive only tried one Mac in my whole life, it felt great but MS has a monopoly in that area so it will never be a fair competition.
And that you derived a theory based on just one case, implies you are not that smart. The next thing you may would be "my friend is european and speaks in english, thus all europeans speak in english".
I own a 360, owntwo PC's, intent on owning a PS3, looking into purchasing a Mac...
So yeah, I'm having fun all around. I love the relibility of Macs, but still learning all the ins and outs of macs. I'm so familiar with PCs. However, I love to do video editing and work with music alot so a Mac is up my alley. However, I mostly use a PC to do some surfing and regular computer/net activities. Macs jus don't cut it for gaming.
Sorry buddy, but I don't think there's much logic there on your end.
Another dumb topic, just like Sync did with his "PS3 owners are two catagories" crap.
Waiting for the topic lock now.
I don't know how much truth is in your theory but I think that most ppl just hate to support M$ I switched to Mac this summer. I also sold my 360 and went for a PS3. I've never been happier. xeon71
Wow. lol
And wow again, this topic isn't locked yet...

Man, that guy is notoriously $ tu pid. A couple weeks ago he was making the claim that you couldn'tcall yourself a "gamer" if you only had one console. I've never seen anybody get flamed so much.

TOTALLY INCORRECT. You forget that SONY makes their own computers, the VAIO.
I have a PC, but i don't count it as a console, even though i have some games on it. macs' wack, that't why i got pc. i don't care about all of that media bs functions with the mac. i know that windows, for the most part, crash all the time and run slow, but i like it crappy and slow that way. i have zero loyalty to MS, but since they are a powerful US corporation i tend not to spew hot fire toward their direction and their os works well enough. I can't believe i'mgoing to say something so stereotypical and prejudice, but Macs are for smug people. i appologize for that, but that's how much my soul hates macs
Oh crap, i almost forgot to mention, TC, WTF are you talking about :|

Yeah, I remember that from Sync yesterday, that post went on my hall of shame, a.k.a ignorant statements made by notoriously retarded people, and not the medical kind, the retarded is used in its, more or less, slang-form as an adjective meaning stupid individual. lol

Many of which are PC/PS3 gamers. If you posted this question on a Mac ONLY site you'd get a certain percentage of Mac users that hate Microsoft and like Sony. But at the same time those same Mac/PS3 users might also hate some of Sony's other products. Example: The Sony MP3 player vs the Apple iPod. Sony and Apple do share some similar industrial design styles. But with a Japanese tone. And there are some PC/Mac users that like that type of style. But Sony as a brand is much broader than just the most hardcore Mac users. All you did was ask the most hardcore Mac/PS3 user that then make a conclusion that most PS3/Mac user made up most of the PS3 fan-base. It doesn't.
Here are my biases:
Computers: Apple. I'm an intel mac user. I use windows to still play games.
Gaming: Prefer Xbox 360. Enjoy Wii. Enjoy PS3, but waiting for future announcements until I buy one
Portable: PSP [3.40 OE-A]
HD Format: HD-DVD. [This is no bias to the 360 or against PS3 - I just beleive HD-DVD has the greater features and innovations movies can benefeit from.]
TV: Samsung. [I was going to get a Sony 40XBR2 - but I discovered that Sony shares a factory with Samsung and Sony uses Samsung LCD panels. Sony TV's being roughly $800 to $1000 more than a Samsung TV, I realized I was only paying extra for design.]
Sound: Yamaha. [Proud owner of a YSP-800 Sound Projector.]
MP3: iPod, not surprisingly.
I'm a little disapointed that the topic of this thread is a little pit against us mac users, because I'm a Mac user who holds LITTLE bias towards the rest of the world. Outside of Blu-Ray, I really don't hold anything against PC users, or any next-gen group. I go to an Art school, where being a Mac user is practically required. We're all apple lovers there, and my observation is that my clasmates side more with the Wii than the 360 or PS3.
