[QUOTE="Azlar"]It would not sell unless they cut atleast $200.do0sh
the 360 sales in europe are sad compared to the PS3's.
You got any sales figures from May to back that up?
When the 20 gig was out, it didn't sell well at 500$. So for the not that much better 60 gig, i think its going to have to drop about 200$ to make a dramatic impact.hazukiWrong. Any drop brings press, and with press come people. Look at PSP sales after the $20 drop.

there is a difference between dropping down $20 from a $200 price tag than dropping $50 from a $500 price tag. $50? wtf is that? ...that's what...my tax money right there? my chump change? If Sony drops it $100 or more then i'll think about picking it up...
Forget a price cut. PS3 needs more games.bdhoff
remember this time last year? 360 didnt have many games out either. the surge of ps3 games will hit this fall like the 360 did in fall of 06.
I think Sony will be dropping the price by a $100 if not more because $50 won't make much of a difference if sony made it drop to $299 temporarily then PS3's would be sold out everywhere just maybe not japan because they love the wii so much but all over the sales would cream the 360's in sale especially during christmas everybody would want it for a christmas present you'd be so lucky to have parents to buy a PS3 as a gift and give it to you as a surprise because my friend got one for christmas  but the bad thing about it was that he got the 20gb but atleast he got one when I bought one I didnt want to pay $700!(i live in canada) but then i couldn't resist and gave in all my PS2 games and my PS2 and got it for $516 but i was just happy i got one but right now I'm not even touching my PS3 since I have no games cause there werent any that interested me right now I'm just waiting for transformers since the games comeing out this month dont really even interest me after i buy this game i will buy lair but right now it is just sitting therejacky531
1. Learn how to use periods...wow.
2. $50...$20...any cut would help anything really. Think about it. You getting an extra $10 would get you enough money to buy you a cheap game. Think about it.

It has some games - just not that appeals to everyone. Not everyone is going to like every game you know.

Yeah there's a difference. It saves you money. That $20 can get you something you wouldn't have been able to get beforehand - whether it be a game for another console, lunch, or whatever. It still saves you money.
yeah, why would the PS3 price get cut if they're already losing $200 for each PS3 sold??????????????????????????
and im not worried about the games, because the only game i want is the new Grand Theft Auto thats coming out......
[QUOTE="blazinpuertoroc"]sony would be nutts if they did 100....theyd lose so much moneyxtn702how is this? They would be making WAY more money than their current price tag, selling more=more profit... think of it,high price+low sales=loss, lower price+greater sales=profit
Um, you think of it...if it costs sony more to manufacture than they sell it for, they take a loss for every unit sold. So if they lower the price and sell more, their losses will be even greater, because now they are taking a bigger hit for every console sold, and the amount of consoles sold is higher than before
