SONY's E3 Conference.

I am getting annoyed. I didn't see anything spectacular. It's basically games we already know about. 1 New IP (MAG, which looks good).But that's it.

sony's conference was BORING! i actually found myself debating whether i should watch the conference or do my summer reading for school

Yeah, last years was WAY better

I thought I was going to see at least 4 or 5 new IPs.

I am disappointed.

I know a lot of the RPG fans are more disappointed.

Honestly I thought Sony did a pretty good job

- video service available now and you can actually buy the movies

- GOD OF WAR III

-80 gig for $399

- LBP looks better than ever

- MAG looks like it could be the best game ever lol

- lots of new PSN titels including R&C for just $.99

- Infamous got shown off a little more

- Resistance 2 looks FANTASTIC

- and a little bit about home

all that and more was great, but there were a few more stops I'd have liked to see pulled out

I agree totally. Sony sucks so much now. Downloading movies for 9.99? Give me a break. Xbox's Netflix service blows that out of the water. WHo cares about PS3 greatest hits or games for the PS2? SONY SUCKS

I wanted to watch but to busy playin mgs4 online now i gotta wait for the streaming...But i think the reason why you guys foind it boring was cause of Jack Tretton it should of been Kaz Hirai...

imo Sony's was the best, but then again they didnt have a lot of competition.

but MAG, Infamous, LBP, Resistance 2 looked great!

and is it more or is Insomniac one busy but great dev team? They make SO much and all there games are first rate quality.

i was happy with sony's conference. they showed a ton of trailers and demos. well not a ton but some very great looking clips.

and plus resistance 2 looks great!!!

MAG is just insane!!!1 (256 player battles HOLY SH!T)

God of war 3 is amazing!!!!

and infamous has a different kind of gameplay that i am looking forward too. blowing SH!T up with lightning bolts. and other stuff of course but seriously how can that not be awesome!!!! lol

Anyone ever heard of Gamefly? $24 a month for 2 games a month. You can finish 2 games a month. That way you try them out and only buy the ones with high replay value. 2 for $24 instead of $124. Sounds good to me.

Apparently, not everyone uses gamefly. I'd assume they enjoy purchasing the game.

wow are you kidding? Jack Tretton was amazing, the way he presented starting with resistance 2 and little big planet then going on to the history of Playstation, then how the PS2 is still going strong and then advertising the new bundles they're coming out with then finally ending with GOW3 trailer and MAG trailer. it was very well presented IMO

I'm happy for Sony. They had the best conference IMO. They concentrate on the games for all it's systems. (After all E3 is for games and not for CEO with big ego beating their chest and have very few new or good games and tons of slide presentation.) Just glad they didn't have a bunch of "boring" slide presentations like the other two. Thanks to Little Big Planet, which I didn't have any interest in until today. Also, glad that they have the greatest hits, lots of games coming around the holiday and early '09, new games like DC Universe and M.A.G. (from socom creators Zipper :D), other exclusive and intresting games like the Agency, Little Big Planet, Infamous, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, and others. God of War 3 is gonna be great if it look like the trailer during gameplay, which I doubt that it can't be achieve. I honestly feel that Sony has a lots of the going great for them in this e3. I'm sure that things will only get better through out the gamelife of ps3. And of course Sony won the "e3 conference" crown even after yesterday news. Which isn't to bad cause it shows that MS need to lure big games to the systems instead of seeking and making something new and good on their own. (But I must admitt that the speaker for sony did seem nervous.)sr0586

MAG looks awesome!

I watched it on G4 and it was good. there are a lot of games coming out. They did a nice presentation, I haven't seen anythnig spectacular from anyone yet and to me SONY was able to hold there own. Many gamer are still bitter over the FF13 thing, Square need more money and going multiplatform SONY didn't have to foot the bill themselves.

I enjoyed it.

I didn't see the other two conferences, but I thought the SONY conference was just alright. I wasn't wowed by it. I was talking to my peoples yesterday and they all agreed that the conference wasn't that amazing.

It's like the roles have been switched. Last gen, the PS2 had a variety of games to choose from (action, racing, sports, RPGs, platform, and some shooters) while the rival consoles focused on mostly shooters. This gen, PS3 is shooter heavy while the other console has a bit of variety now. Don't get me wrong, the multimedia service and extra content is cool. MAG looks to be like a game I may get but wait, it's yet another shooter. Resistance 2, Far Cry 2, Saint's Row, Fracture, SOCOM Confrontation, all shooters. I already have Vegas 2, COD4, Unreal Tournament III, and The Darkness, all shooters. No real variety like last gen. That's my real gripe. I don't want my library to be dominated by games with the protagonists wielding a gun to take enemies out.

I'm no RPG fan but I can understand why RPG gamers are bitter about FFXIII going to the rival console. I am all for gamers to enjoy games yet, I feel certain games should stay with a particular console to keep that system unique. Not to mention, an exclusive title will have better quality (MGS4 for example) over a multiplat game that devs create for one console, get lazy, and port it to the other console. That's corny right there.

I am not one to complain or will say "I am selling my PS3." I am still disappointed but do have confidence that SONY will deliver in the long run.
