So what else was I shown? Well, I was shown a trailer for a game not due out till 2009 but was sworn to absolute secrecy. Apparently, Sony just wanted to give a glimpse of what the console will be capable of.

In fact, the game is such a secret that when I mentioned the game to Phil Harrison last week he was unsure at first whether even to admit the title existed. When I explained I had been shown it under strict Non Disclosure Agreement terms he looked relieved.

I don't mean to be a tease - all I can say is that I was left speechless. If the footage I was shown truly is "in game", as told to me by the Sony PR people, then we could be on the brink of a step change in what games consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion.

And there I'll leave it. Feel free to speculate on what I was shown. I cannot, of course, confirm or deny what it was....

That seems to fit I think. Seriously, Shadow of the Colossus was GOTY (right?) so the team seems to fit the description being able to make a game THAT epic. My second guess would have to be the Jak franchise.

^^^^^ well his story does make some sense and yes caps was not needed, if your assumption is the slightest bit true then we could see a release of home very soon (lol i reffer to 2009 as "soon"), but i still doubt home and this spy game will b released together.

In a spy game linked with home you can imagine the amount of "interaction" it all makes sense but i seriously WANT A TEASER TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dev's at sony can figure out how to not reveal..... anything!!! I just need a date a... anything!!!!!!!

HEAVY RAIN. HELLO, they said this like 2 months ago. Doesn't anyone remember the tech demo from E3 06?W3dotCOM

I find it hard to believe that an NDA and ultra secrecy were required for the demo if it was in fact Heavy Rain, a game that Sony displayed in 06 and is already known to the public... I guess it's possible, but this sounds like something we haven't heard of yet.

And to expand on what I said earlier, it simply cannot be the Agency. That game isn't setting a new standard for graphics OR gameplay immersion, let alone both. Heavy Rain could fit the bill, but again, I just think that with the secrecy involved it's probably a new IP. Either way I'm looking forward to news from E3 (since I won't be going myself this year)...
