If I love tekken will I love SC?
How are they different?
The one thing I hated about tekken is how you were able to take more than half of someone's life by keeping them airborne by constantly hitting them. Does SC have this too?

I wanna be all analytical about Soul Calibur and Tekken, and the way they differ as fighting games although made by the same people...but I'm not. At this point Tekken is looking to become a more "combo" driven fighting game, while SC is like...fighting. I'm leaning more towards SC at the moment. But...
Kazuya is still God of Tekken :)
The possibilities are much more higher in Tekken. And the game life time is unlimited, everyone plays differently depending of the way you think. There's so much thing you have to take into consideration during a match... And the other thing is that Tekken is a good fighting game for everyone. That is, even if you're novice or a fighting game maniac. SC is much more consentrated on novice and midplayers. To see what I'm talking about watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GY8BVNOGxvs
Tekken for competitive play...SC for when I just wanna have some fun.khalid_b

Hell-Fire21
Everytime I see you sig Hell-fire it makes me go "WOOT ASUKA!"
Well.....I have every Tekken (1,2,3,Tag Tournament,4,5,5-Dark Ressurection) and I also have every Soul Calibur (Soul Blade, Soul Calibur 1, 2 and 3) and it's like comparing two totally different styles.
Tekken has a fast paced combo and throw driven style and Soul Calibur is weapons based and has acombo and throw style and tons of blocking and parrying. Both have a quick pace and feature unblockables, wicked throws, tons of moves per character.
I think Soul Calibur is better because it takes more skill to play and a master of the game can slay any button masher. The combos in it are harder to pull off and the defensive strategies and 8way walking also put it over Tekken. Your average Soul Calibur character also has at least twice the moves of your average Tekken character, if not more.
Tekken is still a blast, but everyone I know prefers to throw down in Soul Calibur. Weve been having tournaments at each others houses since '99 when Soul Calibur came out for the Dreamcast.
