Sound experts! (Help)

How do I configure the digital out (Optical)? I connect from the PS3 to the TV this digital optical and the I configure the PS3 for the Digital out but I dont get any sounds, can someone help me what am I doing wrong?!

Howshould I configur this thing?

Do I have to configure something on the tv?

i think the optical from the ps3 needs to go to a receiver not to the tv b/c the tv should also be optical out..

i personally never heard of a tv having an optical in....

i have a mitsubishi 52'' dlp that has optical out but i use the ps3's optical out to a sony receiver..

if your tv has hdmi just use that for video/audio
