Splinter Cell Conviction on PS3?

Hey guys,a pretty simple question. Does anyone know whether or not this game will be on the PS3? I've heard it's going to be launched on the 360 and when I search "splinter cell conviction" on this website it comes up that the only platform it will be on is the 360. So, my guess is that it will just be launched for the 360, but I'm hoping that someone has heard something different about a possible release on the PS3? Thanks!

Right, and you said that ubisoft wont touch the ps3, but if you pay attention to the cover of the prince of persia case for the PS3, you will see that purty ubisoft symbol right on it. So, if you mean that ubisoft wont touch ps3 in regards to SPLINTER CELL ONLY, be more specific next time.

It will happen eventually. Its not even a true 360 exclusive, seeing as its coming to PC as well.

It's certainly possible that Splinter Cell Conviction will find its way to the PS3. Third party exclusivity doesn't mean much nowadays. Despite sworn exclusivity, hell even "only on" labels on the packaging of games, games seem to find their way elsewhere.

It's also very possible that it won't. Only time will tell.

If it does indeed come to the PS3, expect it to be a while.

i'm gessing it's like the last ones, it'll be a few months then it'll be annouced

Statements mean nothing this gen, and it's the fault of the publishers and developers because they constantly go against their word.

Given all of the lost exclusives for both systems this gen, you have to know that it means nothing when pubs/devs say a game is exclusive. "Only on" labels have appeared on countless boxes and the game still shows up elsewhere. Hell, Microsoft published Ninja Gaiden 2 and yet it's coming to the PS3.

I have no stake in this as I can play it on my PC or my 360, so I don't care what happens here, I'm just saying that nothing short of owned IPs are safe from being ported. Maybe it will come and maybe it won't; only time will tell.

I will say that PS3 owners looking for it to show up should not get their hopes up because third party exclusives do exist, even if it is a rare occurrence this gen.

PS3 only owners might as well get it for PC then if we want to play it that badly.

It might come to the PS3 later on just like, fallout DLC, Bioshock etc. Or it might not. The game is delayed any ways. And the ps3 has better games coming out than splinter cell. But as one poster said 3rd party exclusives dont mean much these days. I bet money it come to the ps3 in 2011.

It could come onto the PS3 after an exclusive release for 360. I mean, look at Bioshock.

Seeing as how all previous Splinter Cell games have made it to Playstation, I'm betting this one will too. They're a business, and by keeping it on 360 they're cutting off 40-50% of their audience and they know it. All they need to do is look at ACII's sales numbers on 360 and PS3 for confirmation of that (1.98m vs 1.75m, pretty damn close)

The Splinter Cell series will be back.
