I know a few games still have this feature like Resistance 1 and all of the Call of Duty games. I personaly still enjoy blasting away buddies sitting next to me on a couch, but It seems more and more games keep removing this feature from there games. I still look for the split-screen multiplayer on the back of the boxes when purchasing games. Does anyone still like to get use out of there 3rd and 4th controllers lying around or is it just me?

Me and you both man. It really is sad that splitscreen games seem to be dissapearing at a very high rate. It's so much more fun to have a bunch of people on one screen playing rather than over the internet. It doesnt really make much sense to me why no one puts it in their game anymore, TV's are only getting bigger, its not like the old days with 4 people playing Goldeneye on a 14 inch tv. lol

I miss it I really do, and games have to start letting you play split screen on the net, or in the case of sports games, co-op. nothin is more annoying than having a mate around and not getting to play many games.

I know, dude. I love Modern Shooters, yet the only ones I own that have splitscreen are Army of Two The 40th Day and Resistance 2. MW2 doesn't count, Spec Ops is only good on singleplayer.

WHERE IS UNCHARTED 2 SPLITSCREEN? Most of the campaign, you have a buddy (or more) by your side. Doesn't make sense that a game so feature-filled doesn't support splitscreen. It would definitely hold my Favorite Game title if it did. But as it stands, Ao2 TFD holds that crown. Yeah, yeah, curse me all you want.

I miss split-screen multiplayer. I have Killzone 2 and I don't see any logical reason for there not being split-screen multiplayer. What if you don't feel like playing online and using one of those head sets to talk to people? Those things eventually start to hurt your ears when you have been playing after half an hour. Wouldn't Sony make even more money if they had more games where you can play split-screen since they would sell more multitaps.

Wait until Mod Nation Racers comes out. 4 player offline split-screen plus 2 player online split-screen!

oh I totally agree. split screen action was more fun than playing online with people i don't know. me and my buddies would play for hours upon hours with that.
