Buy a 360? Never even crossed my mind. The only way I'll buy a 360 are if Final Fantasy XIII/Versus, Tekken 6, and Kingdom Hearts becomes 360 exclusive.

wow that really sucks......i too bought i a ps3 thinking most of the SE titles would be going to the ps3.....it wouldnt care if they were multiplat...but ps3 version undecided? wtf......thats like a kick in the nads from SE to all the loyal fans like me thats been playing there games on playsations since the ps1 days.....atleast we still got ff13...

Because games sales are not a guaranteed form of income to them. They won't know whether or not a game will sell well upon it's release into the market. Now that sum that Microsoft is paying them for a timed exclusive, that is good, hard money that is in their hands now.

Wrong, Square-Enix never said they didn't want Sony to finish first, all they said was that they didn't want to support one console over the other like they did with the PS2. And your statement about MS not paying a dime for this is very flawed. Every company is about making money and in order to maximize their profit is to make their games multiplatform. Star Ocean 4 will end up being like Bioshock meaning Microsoft paid for the timed exclusivity which for the time being will allow them to brag about the game being only on their console.

Microcrap is too power hungry as usual and would rather spend billions than accept defeat (that's coming to them anyway as noone trusts them anymore) and would rather pay ridiculous amounts to have "exclusivity" - which is, strangely timed when they announced proudly "it will never go to PS3!!!" ; the pity is they have some power over the developer preventing them from saying "it will be released on PS3 6 months later", making them liars too.

I'm waiting for the time where the PS3 sold 25 million and the X360 20 million and they have no more power on developers.

Does the reasoning really matter? Square-Enix has a very high opinion of themselves, as they should when it comes to the Japanese market. They have what it takes to single handedly change a console war over there.

The cartridge over CD issue is a valid point. I do not know their reasoning behind this one outside of the fact that maybe they are just tired of working only with Sony.

Dragon Quest 9 to the DS, SO4 and TLR 360 timed exclusives, KH3 going to the wii (My opinion of course, but you'd have to be blind to believe it won't.), it all reeks of bad feelings between Sony and Square.

This is why sony should buy Level 5 and Atlus as soon as possible. It's sad to see one of my favorite genres have all the games go to the system I sold due to a lack of good games. We still have White Knight Chronicles right? I hope we get another Dark Cloud or Grandia announced soon.mjmolina51

Agreed. Sony needs to buy these studios so they'll develop solely for Playstation consoles. Atlus and Level 5 both make solid RPGs. I could live without games like Star Ocean. Grandia is a game I would love to see on the PS3. So long as FF13 and Versus stay on the PS3, then I am happy.
