Stealth/Shooter game from PS2

When i was younger, i used to play this stealth game on the ps2. unfortunately, i no longer have the ps2 nor any of the games for it. so can someone help me find the game i am thinking of?

All i remember was this one mission where at night, you infiltrate this building, with night vision goggles on, and you go inside looking for something and/or killing all the bad men inside.

That sure sounds like alot of stealth games! But yeah my guess would be an early Splinter Cell, though you never have to kill enemies there as I recall..

@zlousy: did you play as male or female. Most likely Splinter Cell or Syphon Filter considering the description but I know a stealth based game but the lead was female.

I was going to say Metal Gear Solid but it does sounds a lot like Splinter Cell or Syphon Filter

I'm pretty sure Zlousy is a bot I've seen a million types these threads in the past few years trying to remember a name of game 99 percent of the the time it's a bot.

This sounds a lot like Splinter cell, if not it could be Tom Clancy Ghost Recon.

You know what, that's a pretty realistic assumption.
