Well in english store the pack is 10.99 now i think that is way overpriced, its only 3 new maps one of which is extremely small, and 2 of the best maps from call of duty 4.

Whats your thoughts on the map pack

Oh and how much is it in the american store?

Yeah that's been the story since it was announced, that it's way overpriced. It's $15 US. Hasn't stopped millions of people from downloading it though.

They know they can milk you so they jack up the price as much as they want. Its pretty stupid how they charging for maps and addons. Even PC are starting to do this DLC stuff >>. Thank goodness value does free maps and cheap games on steam.

if you think about it you paid $60 for the game and now $15 more just for 3 new maps. thats $75 right there just for 1 game!!! that is a staright up rip off. the only way it will be worth the $15 is if they included 5 NEW maps and 1 or 2 new weapons or killstreaks or something else.

Don't buy it. It's not like they are forcing you to buy it to keep playing. Now that would be outrageous.

Yes, it's expensive, but so are Rolex watches. I don't buy them either.

I agree that if you have a job $15 isn't that much to spend, I also agree that if you don't want to you certainly don't HAVE to purchase the maps to keep playing. It's not like the map packs offer new level caps, new weapons, or better perks. They're just maps, and not very desirable ones by the sound of it.

Let all that tension go, it's not healthy.

Neither is $40. Maybe they should charge $40 for the map pack. Maybe $50.
No wait...if I get like $500 a week, that means I could probably go as high as $200.

Well, I don't claim to be rich but 15bks isn't alot of cash....I'm mean most people spend that much daily on lunch or cigarettes. "NOW" I'm not saying that Activision is justified for making it that much, but just as others have said....no one is making you buy it.

seriously, its 4 great maps and one mediocre one that you will get more entertainment from then a bookshelf of movies if you play as much as a lot of people. its really not that big of a deal guys. you dont have to buy it, but anybody that loves the game really has no reason not to, unless theyre jobless or on drugs.

also, there are plenty of guns, killstreaks, perks, and attachments already, the only thing they really should include with the DLC is titles/emblems, but cmon, maps is good enough

I had 11.04 on, which i thought was way enough as it was probably gonna be AT MOST £10. But I get ripped off with 10.99.

The maps are TOO SMALL. I hope Map Pack 2 brings us SUPER UBER MEGA LARGE HUGE GIGANTIC Maps.

Well, people keep buying it, so Activision will continue to rape our wallets. It's a simple concept. If people don't support exorbitant prices, then companies won't make the prices that high. This is why I bought MW2 used and I'm not buying this crappy map pack.

Most DLC like this is a ripoff. It's not a terrible amount of money, but it's still grossly overpriced for the amount of extra content they are giving you. Then again there is a sucker born everyday. Enough suckers for a couple million sales probably. That's why on PSN they can charge you for: themes background pictures avatars This is the same thing to me. Micro transactions for suckers, although $15 is more than a typical microtransaction it's the same concept. Just sucking more revenue out of the original game. At this pace it wouldn't be surprising that for Modern Warfare 3 they'll go microtransaction model in full effect. Want a perk? $5. Want a new camo? $5. Want to upgrade that weapon? $5. At some point when you go to the weapons cache at the beginning of the game you'll be asked if you want to go to the "playstation store".

I still don't get the people who say this. Say a company sells a pair of jeans for 60 bucks and you buy them. Then, they sell a pair of underwear for 15 bucks. Sure, you might think that's a bit much, but you don't have to buy them. It's the same thing. It's not a matter of principle. These companies have one goal: make money. No one can argue that they are doing pretty good as far as sales go.

I dont' blame Activision at all. I blame the people that pay extra for DLC. Activision will charge whatever people are willing to pay, as will any other company (it's not like Activision is the only company offering DLC which seems to be a questionable value for what you are paying).

The concept of DLC is great when you have legitimate extra gameplay. However stuff like "weapon skins", "map packs", "avatars" are borderline scams. Then you end up with stuff like Dragon Age Origins where there is a character IN THE GAME advertising for you to visit the Playstation Store to "purchase" the quest. This pissed me off since I bought that game brand new and just after release, did they really need to have a DLC right at release date and something that intrudes into the normal game?. That was a new low in my eyes, I promptly took the game out and haven't touched it since.

I love your response, and I agree that DLC is a new way to make money. The bottom line is that if it makes money, it's a successful game. I'm glad you responded with some intelligence instead of bashing on me because I might not have the same views as you do. Do what you do, Chalupas.

You aren't that is correct but that doesn't mean that they should overprice it in the first place and it doesn't mean that it should turn into a trend. I have a ton of these Modern Warfare 2 fans in my area and they didn't even know that Activision and Infinity Ward were having huge problems, they didn't even know who West and Zampella were. They thought that Infinity Ward was hard at work on Modern Warfare 3 to make a more "beast" game lol.

They're a business and can charge as they please. If you were in their position would you really care about overcharging and making a small minority of people angry while greatly increasing profits? While I don't agree with it, it is their choice, and it is your choice as to whether you want to buy it or not.

You don't need to buy it to play online or watever you're thinking. Its 15$ I know its much but its good for people who want more multiplayer experience. It is over priced, but there's too many people that are willing to buy it. If you think it's overpriced don't buy it. The millions willing to drop the cash on it are fueling this price hike. Wouldn't surprise me if they jack up DLC to $20 in the future.

I know there are pens worth more than $50, hence the term cheappen and not pen. Because some might pay that much for a nice-looking pen but not many would pay $50. I didn't contradict myself in any way, it's sarcasm man, I think you need a new sarcasm detector ;).

yeah but my feeing towards mercedes(especially benz) is a lot different than my feelings towards modern warfare 2 and its stimulate my package DLC so what youre saying isnt really getting me and thats bullcrap about the whole 15 bucks means nothing to a person with a job as well because i have a job and i get paid pretty well to and that 15 bucks means just as much to me as any bit of money because its still gone and still technnically wasted...yet i know past your little COD loving(a bit too much IMO) self and statement there is a little bit of knowledge behind there...youre just being a little too fanboyish in your defending...but i do respect what you trying to say....it is kind of unwise knowing the price and knowing the complaints and knowing how much you wont like something....yet you still spend the money on it...and still end up complaining...so wheres the justice there?

In the US store is $15. $11 is still a little over priced but not as over priced as $15.

Ding, ding, ding... Ladies and gentlemen we have a winner. As a matter of fact that's how my clan got the maps. We all chip in on the fundage, and one of buys it on the PSN, and we share. Before you guys rip me for stealing or say it's people like you that jack the prices up... you're wrong. Sony allows sharing to happen... it's completely legit.

Hes exactly correct they allow 5 PS3s to have the same PSN ID in them and thats one of the reasons...with the others including....if your PS3 got stolen and if your PS3 broke and you got a new one or just got a new/another one
