Well if you have a psp or a USB thumbdrive just put the music on there and plug it into your ps3, (if you use a psp you can plug the psp into the ps3 with the ps3 controller wire that charges it)

Free program called TVersity. Its awesome. They just released a new version last night that fixed issues people were having with the 2.0 firmware. I haven't tested it since then, so I can't vouch for the fix, but you can't beat free. I've also used Nero Media Home and I greatly prefer TVersity. Just check out TVersity.com. They have a forum there too with a section dedicated to PS3. Most any problem you have can be found there with some sort of solution.

No, you install the program and tell it the directory your stuff is in and it builds a database. Then when you turn on your PS3, it will detect TVersity as a DLNA server (like WMP11 with Windows Media Connect). You can then browse your files and it will transcode them to something the PS3 can recognize. There's a good setup guide with optimization for PS3 on the TVersity forum.

Yea mate, I use Tversity too. It's great, and pretty self explanatory. Not difficult to set up at all. Just make sure you have all the necessary codecs so that WMP can play all the files you want to stream to your PS3.

lol yea I don't use it all the time, lags my PC too much. Plus 99% of the time, if my PS3's on, it's playing games, not watching videos I can watch on my PC anyway! But if you want to use the PS3 as a media centre Tversity is a great option.

Get Winamp 5.5 it walks you through a wizard for streaming media to your PS3 as a media server and from a web browser.. Thats what I use.

Winamp Remote works great for audio, but for video, TVersity is a much better solution. TVersity can take files that PS3 can't play natively and convert them to something it can understand. Basically, if you can get it to play on your PC, TVersity can convert it and play it on your PS3.
