when i got my PS3 it stood at my dads house and he has a HDTV with HDMI.SOOO this is the first week i have my PS3 at my house and i cant see nothing because its still stuck on the HDMI Option!!!!PLZ i need help to set it to regular component red white and yellow cables!!!!
I have bad news. The only way is to go back at your dads and hook both the hdmi and composite cables (red,yellow,white ) cables. Then have the ps3 go to composite mode. also change the sound since that is also programed as hdmi but once you get a picture with composite you can do the sound with the composite connection.
OOOO but cant i still move the XMB by blindely pressing left and Right?If so i could probubly set to default or try to change the setting by guessing how many times to move down,left and right stuff like that right????
Sorry but that's the only solution i can give you. My friend had a similar problem but in his case he didnt know how to use the hdmi cable since he initially programmed his ps3 with composite cables and he did what i told you and his hdmi cable worked. And come to think he was about to return his hdmi cable. So why dont you go pay a visit to your dad and get the ps3 on the video output you need.

yes that could be an option. Go to a friends house and write down what you need to do. sort of like blue-print.

wrong! turn off ur ps3 and hold the power button for 6.545323 secs and it will work!
Hey my ps3 is having the same problem. I just tried your advice and it didnt work. am i holding the wrong power button or something?cjsblessing
Even though its an old thread atleast you searched, try making sure your TV is set to the channel of the input you are trying to use, switch to composite channel if you use composite cable etc..
im still shocked at how ppl still dont know how to use their ps3 fully lol. i mean its been wat 5 years almost, by now ud think ppl would know about the reset button
