i think they trust too much in the fan base of previews systems, look at what the sensei kutaragi said, if he really said that :?
but thats no problem with me, im enjoying a lot and dont care about system wars and selling stuff cos I DONT HAVE ACTION SHARES of any company involved.-
i totally agree with you dude. Why does the PSP get SKYPE and the PS3 doesn't lol.And as for the bundle, they should wait(if it's true)for the next psp then bundle it at oh about $600 or $550, maybe?
I think thats what they need to get away from, they shouldnt raise the price of the PS3 at all. I think they should be selling the bundle before the new PSP comes out. An 80gig PS3 and and PSP slim and bright with 1gig memory stick for $399. That would sell like free KFC from Oprah!! Then the new PSP comes out and BOOM huge sales numbers!!i totally agree with you dude. Why does the PSP get SKYPE and the PS3 doesn't lol.And as for the bundle, they should wait(if it's true)for the next psp then bundle it at oh about $600 or $550, maybe?

^That's very true, Sony's advertising this gen has been depressingly weak :( They've done ads for the PS3 and ads for the PSP but I don't think they have ever actually advertised both machines together. I can't imagine why.Floppy_JimMaybe there scared that if they do that, the PSP will overshadow the PS3
dude! remote play was one of the sellig points for me to buy a PS3
its SOOOOOOOOO awesome! nothing like streaming my vids on my PS3 harddisk while im in school!
or playing some PS1 games like Resident Evil 2 on my PSP while in class!
seriously Remote Play is awesome and i think they need to improve it alittle, like you said the kype thing would be cool!
You guys really need to learn how to market the PSP and PS3 connectivity. Honestly I have never seen any commercial showing the true capabilities of remote play. I think that would be a HUGE selling point for both systems. I have showed everything you can do with the PSP and PS3 to friends who have a PS3 and they went out and bought a PSP because they had no idea what both were capable of. I think the best thing you could do is bundle a PS3 and PSP together for the same price as a PS3 now. Instead of dropping the price of the PS3 just make it the ultimate gamers bundle with both systems. I honestly would buy it, even though I have a PS3 and PSP 2001, and give it to my girlfriend. Another thing, why haven't you put SKYPE on the PS3? Do you know how sweet it would be to call my PS3 from work on my PSP and talk to my girlfriend and son. Do video chats from the toilet at work! Come on this should have been implemented as soon as the PSP had SKYPE. Does anyone else agree or does it sound like a dumb idea.LuckyToad
The PSP has skype on it? Jeez you were right, Sony hasn't marketed them well together. I know just from the PS Store that you can buy games and download them right onto your PSP, which I think it pretty cool, since that saves you from carrying game around everywhere you go.
Not a bad idea at all though. The thing is a great idea, but I don't think they could do it for the same price. Even still, if they sold the bundle for $450, that would still be a really good deal.
I disagree.
Sony failed so far because their marketing was strictly based on hardware.
GAMERS DON'T CARE ABOUT HARDWARE!!!
They care about GAMES. At the end of the day that's what it matters.
Sony's most successful ad is already 12 years old. That Final Fantasy VII advertisement is what pushed Sony to the top (Square too)
It was effective because the ad was about a GAME. Something they can play with. Hardware is just an idea that shows possibility. Games are what you actually get.
Get an exclusive game, hype it up like hell, and advertise it so a granny in retirement home that's in middle of nowhere would know about the game. That's what Sony needs to do.
FFXIII would've been perfect for that, but unfortuately they failed to keep it exclusive (Perfect because it appeals to both male and female gamers, and both casual and hardcore gamers. Also has that big franchise name that appeals to most.)
Maybe FF vs XIII? But I doubt it has the weight as FFXIII.

You can buy PSP games off the PS3 store and store them on your HDD untill you want to play them on your PSP. Then its just a quick transfer. Its great if you dont have a big memory stick. Please Log In to post.
