[QUOTE="theru8543"] yeah i def. have to disagree. im def not a rich guy so to me 5 bucks is 5 bucks. plus im an edge member so i get an additional 5 bucks off so it brought it down to 50 then i traded in two PSP games which i got 12 bucks for each so that brought my total down to 26 bucks for a like new little big planet. I wanted the game now so i didnt want to wait for Amazon and i probably could have gotten it for at least 40 bucks on amazon, its easier for me to go right down the street and get the game. Target, Best Buy, and Walmart dont have used games. I prefer to buy used games because they are a little bit cheaper to you it may be 5 bucks but to me its gas to get to work tomorrow. you see whut i mean, i think game stop is great. PLUS might i add when you buy a used game you can return it in 7 days and either get your money back or get a different game, you cant do that with a new game. so its cool because 2 weeks ago i bought afro samurai used, beat it in 4 days and then i traded it in for F.E.A.R. 2 used which i beat in 5 days then i brought it back got my 52 bucks back (49.99 plus tax) and used it to get a brand new Killzone 2 for 60 bucks, so i basically got 3 games for 60 dollars!!!!!! CANT DO THAT AT WALMART!!!!--Rob--
Dude, I really mean no offense by this, but if that last 5 bucks has that much riding on it for you, then you probably shouldnt be buying games at all. I do understand your logic in the tail end of your post however. I only buy games Im gonna want to keep and add to my library, so perhaps thats why I find no value in the used.

i dont think you get it, i never said it was my last 5 dollars, i dont think if i had 65 bucks id buy a 60 dollar game and save five bucks. thats not whut im saying. but money is money, thats all im saying. im 23 years old, i know how to manage my money , and if i can find a bargain im gona take advantage of it. during the week if i find things on sales or cheaper, in the end, i end up saving a lot more money. you see whut im saying? i do the samething too, i try to keep the exclusives in my library but theres always some games i can trade in, like old sports games and stuff. i mean for example i have MLB 2k8 and MLB 2k9, should i keep my 2k8??? no cuz your not gonna play it, so get the little bit of credit for it towards a new game.

yeah man its true that most games are made for the xbox then ported to the ps3... the reason why is because they understand the technology of the xbox better than the ps3... and people are to lazy to try and figure out how the new technology in the ps3 works.. they just go to the simple console make a game.. then give us the crappy water down version...

and thats why you see games looking slightly better on the box than ps3..... and that dude is wrong if you look at the 2 from a hardware angle the ps3 beats xbox... and thats a fact 100%... just bunch a fan boys you talked to there... just let them keep playing that box and praying it doesn't catch fire while they play LOL

I hear all these horror stories about gamestop, and yet my local shops employees are quite pleasent... If you forget the time they forgot to give me the discs for Morrowind that one time.

[QUOTE="riceboyzz"]

it really depends on what gamestop you go to man, i go to the gamestop that ive alway went too for about 1 and a half and the managers pretty cool, even got him on my psn friend list lol, theres been a couple of time where a bought a game and didn't like it so i brought it back within a week or so, and he always give me a full refund back. thats y i go there, if you go to walmart or best buy, or target you can't return the game the next day cus it's been open which really sucks, cus always feel like i wasted 60 bucks on a game that i don't like.u can sell it on ebay but tooo much work.

--Rob--

Well now I guess that ones alright. But do they do the trade in for 14, sell for 55 thing also? That is just something that really rubs me the wrong way, but hey, as long as there are people who go for that, why would they stop?

if i keep a game for too long, like a month or two, other then that if bring it back within a week or two they just give me a refund. but i hardly trade in games unless theres a game i really want and want to buy at a discount.

"yeah Ps3 is cool if you like playing online and getting stabbed in the chest 7 times cuz it lags so bad." most of the ppl that own a 360 don't even know wut a ps3 can do. most of my friends didn't even know that a ps3 had movies in the ps store. also what most ppl don't know is that ps3 can do plenty more things that a 360 can't do such as web browsing. & ps3 doesn't lag bad at all. some of the times i've played 360 @ my friend's house it lagged half of the time. & he was supposed to have the good high speed internet. but yea dont shop at gamestop anymore. best buy is the better store. i went to gamestop to buy sfiv and they only had it for 360 & not ps3(they didn't sell out either). so best buy got my money. & plus best buy has probably more female employees, so once you checkout your merchendise, you won't be greeted by 360 fanboys but by a nice lady that doesn't even play games.

the ps3- a grown man's system. i can dig that.

besides, any ps3 basher that sees what i have on mine will realize its not all about the games any more. can anybody's three sixty boast 250 gigs of movies and music, then support another 620 gigs in externals? didnt think so...

Tekken's come out for both systems, and that's great for gamers in general. I gave up on the series along time ago so it doesn't concern me. The reason that games got made for Xbox 360 first and go ported is because that system came out first and Developers had more experience working on that platform. But the more games that come out and the more experience developers get will leave them sayin, what alot of them are ready saying. Which is, "The power of PS3 is amazing and that the Blu Ray gives them what seems like limitless space to creativity." After theystart seeing moreand moreprofits from making games solely on the PS3, you'll start seeing games that missing content because they were originally made for the PS3 but ported(scaled) down to fit on DVDs and run on XBox360 and PC. As of right now I wouldn't tell anyone not to purchase one for the gaming library, not for longevity.
