TACTICS OGRE: LET US CLING TOGETHER
Dream Team of Developers Reunites to Bring the Beloved Strategy RPG to the PSP System

LOS ANGELES (July 21, 2010) – Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in North America, announced today the upcoming release of TACTICS OGRE™: Let Us Cling Together™, a PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system reinvention of the strategy RPG. Hiroshi Minagawa (Director), Akihiko Yoshida (Character Design), Yasumi Matsuno (Game Design), Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata (Composers) are pleased to return to TACTICS OGRE and to revitalize their masterpiece for a new format and era – created with the simple idea – "how TACTICS OGRE would be if it was developed and played now."

TACTICS OGRE: Let Us Cling Together, is being reborn from the ground up, with reworked visuals and effects, a re-arranged soundtrack by the original composers, new character growth mechanics and a new Wheel of Fortune system that adds even more replay value to the game.

Is this one the same one on GBA?

Also, I think I would've liked Ogre Battle 64 better, but this definitely a first day buy.

Looks cool, though may not be a first day buy for me being I already have a long SRPG I need to finish on the PSP.

The biggest problem with LUCT is that you had to train your crew if you wanted to survive. The difference between a Lv. 1 Soldier and a Lv. 5 Solider was huge. They obviously fixed that problem in Knight of Lodis, so hopefully they'll address this problem in the new LUCT.

Other than that issue, LUCT is great. The story is dark, and there are branches. FFT's Deep Dungeon has nothing on LUCT's secret dungeon.

I'll be picking this up for sure. Might even have to dust off my PSP. Don'trecognize the female character near Lans, so I take it that's the new character.

LOL, I had no idea that Tactics Ogre was made by Square Enix, maybe that's why It looked very similar to Final Fantasy Tactics, and has most of the same concepts =D. Anyways, yeah... PSP is still amazing, almost every game out there I am planning to get. Looking forward to Tactics Ogre.

Ugh... the graphics still looks terrible. But if Yasumi Matsuno has something to do with this game, then I'm buying it.

It wasn't it was published by Atlus and developed by Quest. Over the years Square obtained the Ogre license and brought Quest studios. Square's production team 4 (the team that worked on Vagrant Story, FF Tactics, FFXII) mainly consists of former Quest members.

I hope they fix the spell animations. Area of effect spells take too long to finish because the animation is used on empty spaces.

It's only marginally better. Like how they remade FF Tactics for the PSP... the graphics are just as bad as the PS1 version.
