Not going to stop me from team killing. I feel like getting a helicopter full of team mates right now and driving into an artillery zone (BFBC2).
That is ridiculous, surely they need to remove that option from games if it can result in a ban. I am not a team killer but in games like Bad Company 2 where I blow a building down on an M-Com station and some camping sniper on my team dies and now I'm applicable for a ban.
Lucky it isn't back in the COD 4 days where team killing was used to kill the underage gamers with headsets =P

Obviously, they won't just ban someone for killing their teammate by mistake, but it's easy to tell when someone is doing it on purpose.

It is part of the game mechanic though, they may aswell remove it completely. Think about all the overeacting losers who cry when their KDR goes down and then some unfortunate nade lands in a room and kills him and an enemy. Why cry to Mummy when you can cry to sony.

I team kill my buddies every now and again. Like if they steal my kill or something but it's all in fun and they don't mind lol.. but i am glad something is to be done about it although i don't experience it often. Not sure about a ban, maybe a suspension. 2 suspensions = a ban or something..

Ok now, yeah what if it was an accident, what if you're playing uncharted 2 and then you see someone running at you and you throw a grenade and your teammate is close. And you kill both teammate and the other dude from the other team, that's gonna get you banned ?? :shock:
I just thought of this, but I can have a moron who keeps running in front of me on purpose then I get punished. There'll probably be more people like that, I had it happen before.
Let's be honest here...most of us have probably done like 2 or 3 of the things on that list at least once and we didn't get banned for it. Are you going to get banned for team killing one guy on accident? Probably not. I'm sure it'll only happen if multiple people report you multiple times for the same offense. If the mods see a trend forming then you'll get the ban-hammer. If it's just once or twice it's almost like it never happened.
Ok, I'm not even going to read that. This is flat out retarded. Why do games have Friendly Fire anyways? They can just have it "off" by default and not even have the option in the first place. Problem solved!

Et Tu Brute requires you get 5 kills from people on our friends list. NOT kill people on your team otherwise half of the BFBC2 community would have been banned by now
I was setting c4 on my helicopter I landed in BC2, some scum bag comes up and hops in, I know he saw me land AND put my c4 down. So I hop in and go along for the ride, he has 3 of his squad mates spawn with us and KABOOM I blow us out of the sky, I was in the rear of the helicopter so I got to see their bodies go flying, it was so worth it. gave me like -450 points or somethin.

That is a bit silly imo, but team-killer's can be VERY annoying.
I was playing GTA4 online once and I was doing one of those co-op missions (forgot what it's called) and these two hilarious guys on my team decided to kill everyone else over and over again. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the life limit. Eventually we had to ride a helicopter to this spot WAY on the other side of liberty city. I got in the driver seat of the chopper, and guess what? the guy tries to shoot up the chopper and make it blow up. Fortunately I decided to fly away and leave him behind. It worked. It took them like 30 minutes to catch up and they decided to stop the team-killing. OMG it was so funny leaving them behind!!!!!

did they say it would be every time and for doing it only one time? no but now it's posible for Sony to take measures, and most likely it's only to scare those stupid people off.
How would they know if it's accidental or on purpose...?

Besides, there's ways to get around this so Sony is REALLY late. In games like Halo you get a limit (I believe it's 3 teamkills then there's an option to boot you) so all people do is shoot you to weaken you, which is probably more annoying then being team killed.
You can't stop quitting and you can't stop team killing. They need to stop trying and focus on more important things..
You're not going to get banned for a few honest mistakes. As someone else said: it's easy to tell when someone is doing it on purpose. If you have someone who's constantly targeting his own teamates,yeah, that will be easy to tell, and yes it should be bannable.
I think some people might be taking this the wrong way. Just because a reason is there for banning doesn't mean it happens right away. I pretty sure they know there are accidents with accidential team killings. They probably yeah warn for large number of team killings or multiple reporting times doing it or even suspend the user for it first before banning. So don't look to deep into it being a reason. You'll work yourself up for no reason.
