i like this only because in some matches you will come across some one dumb thats trying to shoot you for nothing.

Well I guess COD4 isn't fun anymore........
I used to have a blast on Hardcore Search and Destroy with RPGs:twisted:
I just dont agree with it... Kick the player he would soon get the message unless its some very sad kid who finds it fun suspend him from PSN for awhile getting a full ban is way to harsh imo....-Hoax-You can't kick players in a lot of games.
Unless it was by accident? What then? Hopefully they're lenient on this.supa_badmanIt's obvious when someone's team killing on purpose. This one douche on my team kept knifing me in MAG, but I couldn't kick him because no-one knew he was doing it. Chances are that 9 times out of 10, people won't be banned even with a legitimate claim because there is no proof of the team killing. I'm sure games like UC2, where you can record matches, will make it easier to catch a team-killer.
[QUOTE="Fightingfan"][QUOTE="RTUUMM"]WOW in UNCHARTED 2 I sometimes kill a team mate by mistake or if the player is just standing there and not playing at all. but in UNCHARTED 2 in you kill the same preson twice you get kicked outRogueShodownNot going to stop me from team killing. I feel like getting a helicopter full of team mates right now and driving into an artillery zone (BFBC2). Then you should be banned for being an ass; it's as simple as that. Obviously, they won't just ban someone for killing their teammate by mistake, but it's easy to tell when someone is doing it on purpose. I agree with Rogue.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA:lol:
[QUOTE="DC5_Maverick"]they wont , they just bann you regardless if it was purpose or not , like that everybody will be more carefulHow would they know if it's accidental or on purpose...?
AmnesiaHaze
But that's ridiculous! What if your playing MW2 on hardcore and use a harrier strike on an enemy on the other side of the map, and you happen to wipe out half your team? Being banned for than would be stupidly unfair!
they may say this... but i would venture to guess that team killing would never result in a ban unless someone gets online with the sole intention of ruining the game for everyone.
ummm this may sound like a crazy idea but why not make the games were you CANT kill your team mates? Most PC shoters i played back in the day had this option. I'v even seen it were if you shot a team mate you actually take the damnge instead. seems that would fix the problem of *** hat team killers with out the risk of some one who just does it on accadent.
[QUOTE="-Hoax-"]Thats a bit extremeRogueShodownHow exactly is that extreme? You're ruining someone's fun when you keep team killing on purpose.
Oh please, that's nothing. It is extreme to possibly ban someone for team killing. Oh noes, they respawn 5 seconds later. Just find a new match with no asses. Kind of obvious. No, ruining someone's fun is camping someone from the opposite faction in an MMO, where they have no choice but to keep reiving at their body, only to be killed again. So you have a level 80 something or other camping a level 10, and there isn't a thing the level 10 can. He can't just go into a new game, his character doesn't exist there. I've heard of people getting camped in WoW for hours, and if nobody is willing to gank the guy doing the camping, you're screwed. THAT is a bannable offense, however, it isn't enforced. As that can only really happen on a PvP server, that's the way it goes.
Piddly little 5 second inconveniences does not justify a ban.

Isn't there a game that gives you a yellow card like in soccer for shooting a teammate? Then if you keep it up, it's probably not an accident anymore and get kicked or something?
I mean if they have a solid way to prove it that it's not more than an accident or something, then I'm all for banning the true backstabbers/griefers.
accidents happen. even the most experienced gamer can get a team kill by accident. It shouldn't be a problem if you play the game right.
Scianix-Black
Finally. All the **** that teamkill for pleasure in Battlefield: Bad Company can finally cease exist.
Piddly little 5 second inconveniences does not justify a ban.Khadaj32
Depends on the game and the situation, it could mean the difference between winning and losing (or earning a trophy). if people want to play the game seriously then just leave the game, team killing is something a 5 year old would be doing.

Yes, anyone can kill a teammate by accident, but I would think it's a bit unlikely to keep killing your teammates on accident.
[QUOTE="GrandJury"]I don't even know how to report people on PSN?FightingfanYou do it via the link I provided.I should bookmark this. :o
That would be a bit silly. Nubs should be punished when not being careful and have their score reduced.Ok, I'm not even going to read that. This is flat out retarded. Why do games have Friendly Fire anyways? They can just have it "off" by default and not even have the option in the first place. Problem solved!
Denji
I also especially like that they say you can be banned for using cheat codes. Why would the developer code it into the game if they didn't want it to be used?guynamedbillyDevolopers do not usually implement cheat codes for online play but obviously if they do then you'll be fine. You're hardly going to be banned for inputting cheat codes while playing GTA IV.

It would just be too chaotic, especially if players on the same team are not punished for shooting their own.who cares, you can make a new sony accutn and its easy. and plus you wont get banned for this
GramDubs
Who cares? You lose basically all your downloaded games and game saves when it's an online game like Demon's Souls, not to mention all your progress in BFBC2, MW2, NHL, everything!

Having Friendly Fire on means you can shoot other people. When it's off, means you can't. This is a non issue because a Friendly Fire option isn't even needed in the first place and can just be turned off by default by the devs themselves. Not even programmed in the game. Thus, preventing wasting everyone's time with something as stupid as team killing. Who's really going to investigate this? How many times "team killer!" is going to be slewed because someone got pissy about losing? Or if it happens by accident?
It's an easy solution and solves the problem instantly. Just don't have it.

I disagree. I don't think people want friendly fire and have fun when shooting teammates or being shot themselves. I don't see anything fun with that. What ruins the fun is exactly that: team killing, not the absence of friendly fire. Heck, most games don't even have friendly fire.
Also, you can't "just eliminate those abusing it". You can ban a few people who abuse it. Will it make a significant difference? No it won't.
Sure, team killing could be cool if it's like in Counterstrike where you die immediately if you shoot a teammate at the spawn point and are banned from the game if you kill someone.

Team members should be punished when grenade spamming and killing their own or other things of the sort. It just seems more right to me. Mistakes are part of the game and if a gamer makes one, they will be punished. It also calls for a higher quality of the game itself in my opinion where those that play right have to make sure to not harm their own team and if they do, it's an advantage for the opposing team, although not an intentional one. Deliberate team killers, on the other hand, should just be gotten rid of. Those with a -100 or less score in Battlefield: Bad Company, for example. And how do you know that? Would a player really want to risk their account just so they can team kill a bit? No. Some highly skilled players just team kill for fun but that will like cease if their account were at risk.
And yes, I agree. Counterstrike seems to have a nice feature going on there as well. As long as said filth sees some form of punishment and is kicked from the game or worse.

Me inciting a flame war? Hardly. Check your tone in the post above mine as well as the emoticons. I was by no means trying to be provocative and just openly unveiled your attempt at provoking me. Be more subtle next time if you wish to irk someone so that they don't expose you. And I am sorry if you cannot comprehend my posts. People usually find it relatively easy. Once again, why remove a feature that is part of the gameplay simply because some have nothing better to do than annoy others if you can just kick them from the game or ban their accounts or what not? What's more, people will just grenade spam or whatever else now, knowing that they cannot damage their own team members anymore and that just sounds a bit too chaotic for my taste. Friendly fire is a game mechanic I condone. I just don't enjoy it when some fools decide to be ******.It would be very chaotic and too many people will grenade/explosive spam. Devs should do the Uncharted way(I call it this because I don't know others who do this). Regular shots won't team kill anyone, but explosives will.Ok, I'm not even going to read that. This is flat out retarded. Why do games have Friendly Fire anyways? They can just have it "off" by default and not even have the option in the first place. Problem solved!
