[QUOTE="MERC_RECONN"] seem to be the only 3rd party developer(so far)utilizing the power of the ps3. What are your thoughts?Blitz1130
Dude there ports, their not utilizing it because they aren't exclusive.
At least they are putting a good effort into them unlike some other developers.

At least they are putting a good effort into them unlike some other developers.you say they're putting good effort? actually, you got it all mixed up. it's because they're not putting effort into the ports that the ports are horrible. every port has been lame except for Oblivion. developers like Ubisoft are giving themselves a bad name whenever they show their porting skills. i've seen a bad port, but Ubisoft is the worst of the worst. and of course, most recently, the F.E.A.R team proved they're bad at porting as well.
...the PS3 hasn't even been out a year yet, no ones utilizing the power....acidBURN1942Thank you also, I should have said SOME OF THE POWER.

I think Ninja Gaiden will be good, and we get a sample friday.

yep. i hope it's good. Ninja Gaiden actually looks more than just a port.
I agree with don't forget Capcom because of the Cellius project.
Another name that needs to be in there is Criterion after them announcing Burnout 5 would be built from the ground up for the PS3 and ported else where.
Don't forget to add Factor 5 to the list. Factor 5 always focuses on one single console at a time. They were with Nintendo exclusively for the Rogue Squadron/Rogue Leader games. Now, they are working exclusively for the PS3 with Lair.
These guys should stand up there with Team Ninja and Bethesda.

it is namco he just got mixed up, and i think when the other guy said capcom he is talking about DMC4 cus it was revealed to be running 60FPS 1080p on ps3, no mention of 360 resolution or framerate though. is ninja gaiden even at 1080p ? i thought that game is only 720/ 60 FPSseem to be the only 3rd party developer(so far)utilizing the power of the ps3. Can't comment on Team Ninja as I've never played any of their games.
But Bethesda did a heck of a job in bringing a nicer version of Oblivion to the PS3.
It's amazing what companies can do when they actually take pride in their work as opposed to putting out trash as quickly as possible to turn a quick buck.

bethesda did a heck of a job with Oblivion. And keep in mind that they ported it to PS3 from 360. And we all know that ports from 360 are crap until now.And yes Insomniac did a great job with R: FOM. Many people think that Insomniac is owned by Sony (or atleast some people think)but it isn't.

I am shocked that Oblivion didn't make it to the top 10 list in sales. What a waste of Bethesda's time.

Yeah, they could have been busy doing something else? Not to mention how ground-breaking an experience it was. Something that nobody had ever experienced before, ever!

NGS is not a port. Just because the first game came out years ago on another platform doesn't make this a port. The game is designed exclusively for the PS3......so that means it's not a port.[QUOTE="MERC_RECONN"] seem to be the only 3rd party developer(so far)utilizing the power of the ps3. It isn't released in Europe yet...
If there is a market where it'll reach the top 10 that place is Europe. The North American market has way more 360s than PS3s for now and many of those 360 owners already have this game. In Europe things will be different, i assume, the difference is not that big and i believe a lot of PS3 owners want this game.
NGS is a port. It is the same game that come out on XBOX not long ago. But the graphics have been beefed up for PS3. So it is a good port of an amazing game. PitbullXI will take the developers word over some guy on an internet forum. alot has changed in the game. it is not a port as stated by the developer. it is a sequel to the first game, but it is a new game. it isn't the exact same game with better graphics.

don't forget capcom.PowerCharged
Devil May Cry 4 is an Xbox 360 game, developed on the Xbox 360 and ported to PS3.
Now, Don't forget Konami.

Dude, NGS is not Nina Gaidian 2... It will have the same story and share the same levels. just the Game is remade on the PS3 with extra content. But the point is that TN is not strictly porting a game but remaking a game with more stuff. So NGS will be awsome.
All games in the future will be compared PS3 exclusives. This will make the multi-plat developers look silly and embarrassed if they use the "it's hard to program" excuse. Sony will set the bar. And anyone not taking advantage of the Cell/RSX will be left behind.
