why doesnt it work that good. i could be right in front of the router and it wont work. but if im in my room,which gets the worst signal, it works sometimes. does this happen to anyone else?
AP scan is for recruiting soldiers. It works based on scanning wifi signals/routers and assigning their MAC address to a recruited soldier. In short, if you've already used your nearby router to recruit a soldier and you saved the game, you cannot use it to recruit anymore (unless you change your router's MAC address. Now the reason why you are picking up a signal when in your room is likely because you are picking up a neighbour's signal. This is a good as it means you should keep on physically moving in that direction as to get a stronger signal. Once you get a strong enough signal you should be able to recruit a solider. In short MGS : PO teaches you how to war drive.
Have someone drive you around town while you keep pressing when it peeps. Drive near business and residential areas... stay away from Parks or Mountains.
