I actually like the boomerang controller.

When I use the SixAxis/DS3, I have to use the middle to end of my fingers to support the controller, while my palms are a couple centimetres away. This is because the handles are too straight. If I tried to wrap my hands around the handles tightly, then my wrists would hurt. The boomerang controller seemed to solve this problem, making the handles more angled. My hands would probably be able to wrap around the handles painlessly.

If Sony ever releases the boomerang controller, I'd buy it immediately (after my SixAxis dies though). By the way, the controller was pretty small.

Wait, wait WAIT.

That picture alone speaks a vastly large amount of words more about how comfortable the boomerang controller is than anything anyone else in this thread has said or posted.

Do you see the scale of the controller compared to the hand?

That looks SNUG.

After seeing this, I think boomerang controller is as comfortable as sixaxis/ds3.

[QUOTE="zeriva"]

That looked like the most uncomfortable controller I've seen in my life...

Looks so stupid...

hxcpride

it has a chance to compete for the " worse controller award " with the first xbox controller... :

i dont think my thumb can reach those analog stick unless i got a gorilla hand palm lol.

I'd rather use the first xbox controller than that alien artifact lookin thing.

They should keep the same design but make the controller a bit bigger and redesign the triggers againNonstop-Madness

I think most opinions about the controller here fall into the "I'm too cool for that controller." mentality and should be ignored for the most part. If you really don't like it because of an ergonomics issue then that's fine, but remember that this is not the first boomerang controller for the Playstation. Alps Interactive created a controller very similar to the Sony version way back in 1996 and I owned one and I have to say, it was THE most comfortable controller I've ever used. If it had analog sticks I would still use it today. What I find unacceptable is Sony going nearly 3 generations without a major redesign. We've been using this controller since the PS1 days, are we going to be gaming on PS5 with the same Sony controller? And anyone who wants to drop the brilliant line "If it ain't broke don't fix it" I just have to say take a look at Apple and ask yourself what kind of market-share they would have if they decided to never redesign their products and stuck with same basic IMac and IPod designs of the late 90's?

I agree, I used to own a 3rd party dreamcast controller which was big but shaped like a boomerang and I was small and it still felt comfortable. I could reach all the buttons and the triggers felt great in my hands. The de-bunk shows just how ocmfortable the Boomerang is and Sony should release it special edition especially since it has those clear buttons FTW :D
