I actually like the boomerang controller.
When I use the SixAxis/DS3, I have to use the middle to end of my fingers to support the controller, while my palms are a couple centimetres away. This is because the handles are too straight. If I tried to wrap my hands around the handles tightly, then my wrists would hurt. The boomerang controller seemed to solve this problem, making the handles more angled. My hands would probably be able to wrap around the handles painlessly.
If Sony ever releases the boomerang controller, I'd buy it immediately (after my SixAxis dies though). By the way, the controller was pretty small.

That picture alone speaks a vastly large amount of words more about how comfortable the boomerang controller is than anything anyone else in this thread has said or posted.
Do you see the scale of the controller compared to the hand?
