I just played the Darkness demo last night and i was actually pleasantly surprised. it was pretty fun to play. i think i might actually go buy it. anyone else like it?
I haven't played it yet, but I used to read the comic... so I am thinking about it. Can you compare it to anything?.. I am lazy and haven't dl'd the demo yet
I liked it. good single player experience, havent played it online so i dont know about that. awesome darkness powers :D - its the second best experience on my ps3 so far, and i dont usually like fps. so i would recommend it.

Yeah the GRAW 2 demo wasn't all that great. The controls were confusing unlike R6V. But I thought the Darkness was ALRIGHT. Not going to be a game I buy.
I've got the Darkness and it's okay. The graphics r fine and the storyline is fairly engaging. However, i think it's too short, and not always clear enough over wat it wants u to do. The game is okay, but not anything to go out of your way for unless you really like that sort of thing, or unless u've played it and like it.

i think i saw a used copy at the EB near me so i think i might get it.
The game is really interesting. The strongest point for the Darkness is the Story, is very well written and drags you into the completely. You simply want to play it just to find out what happens next. The game-play is also entertaining because you have the Darkness powers to play around with. I really enjoyed that game.

Same for me, I'm not a big FPS fan, I play some Unreal Tournament 2K4 from time to time on the PC, but I almost never get a console FPS. I have bought and finished The Darkness and had a lot of fun with the single player experience. The Darkness powers are just plain fun to play around with. Impaling an enemy on a Darkness Arm, waving them about, and then throwing them into a dumpster never gets old. Online multiplayer, on the other hand... well, stick to the Single Player. Really, a bad multiplayer experience shouldn't stop you from getting it, the main point of this game is clearly the single player. Interesting story, as well.
I actually liked the demo, and the popeye was pretty good :P I actually watched it too, then shot the TV when it was finished :) hehe
btw, the GRAW demo was good, but as in length? SUCKED! faced like 15 easy guys, and when the real action came with the helicopters, the demo ended. boo:(
definatly a great game fun and enjoyable. The cool thing is that the online sort of plays like a tourney game fast paced and fast kills. Check out my review for it. i definatly urge you to pick it up.
