forget that DLC b/c once killzone 2 and god of war 3 come out it wont even matter lol:DTHEGoD1I can smell Microsofts fear
[QUOTE="baller72"]Hmmm... so by your logic combo ideas means that the actual products suffer because they are not at thier full potential. I guess I can relate and agree to that, but by that logic that means that the iphone is not a good product, I would be better off getting a phone, mp3 player, video player, picture holder, etc...[QUOTE="stevrosb74"]As anyone with any basic domesticated knowledge will tell you, washer dryers are a bad idea. Sure, it may save a bit of room in a student bedsit, however, your clothes are either never quite dry or never quite washed properly. Take me, I have a hotpoint dryer and an indesit washing machine both machines specifically designed for one purpose and one purpose only, with the added bonus that, should one breakdown, at least I still have the other. I lesson I learnt with the console version of the "washer dryer" - the PS3. As it was bought with the promise of blu ray player and next gen games console all in one I was drawn, like a fly to faeces by its appeal, only later to fall foul of faulty circuitry rendering me completely entertainmentless, apart from my sons ds! It quickly brought back vague memories of me turning up to student parties in musty smelling clothes and decided there and then what i was to do. I purchased a panasonic blu ray player and a microsoft xbox both machines designed for one purpose and one purpose only, with added bonus etc, etc. I now have a rumble pad (with proper triggers!), a headset (came with it!), the analogue stick in the right place, a friends list as long as my arm and a stack of blu ray discs! Now I would write more only... my GTA4 DLC has just downloaded and er, i'm dying to play it! chow for now!Symphonycometh
Truth be told some things are not great as a combo idea and some things are great. And I think most would agree that PS3 is a great combo idea so you have fun with your Bluray player and 360 and your DLC for GTA.
And while you do that I will watch a couple episodes of Heroes on my PS3 through the web browser, then pop in the Dark Knight Blu Ray, Take my PSP to class and listen to music on my PS3 through wifi connection before the teacher walks in, come back to my room and play street fighter and talk through my bluetooth headset which is the same one I use for my phone, and then maybe I will log back on here and see what people have said in this post... bye bye now!!!
I LOVE this argument. I must see it's growth! lolI doubt that guy responds... look at his post count...just because it is exclusive don't mean that it will never come out on ps3,all gta's except gta4 were ps exclusive 3, vc, and sa were all multi platform after about 6 months, so i don't think it will be any different this time around expect to see it available in aug/sept maybe 2010 at the latest for ps3.

I also remember reading something similar, that while MS had exclusivity they had it on the basis of time and not over Sony not getting it all rather like with Final Fantasy 13 but who knows.
As a lot of others have said though I don't really care about getting it. I got bored of GTA4 and play San Andreas more these days...
actually they paid 50 mill for 2 dlc..so there will be another one as wellM$ paid 50million for that exclusive dlc, unless SONY pays Rockstar the same or more we will never get the dlc. I dont really care for it tho.
RTUUMM
L&D won't be coming to the ps3 and neither will the next piece of DLC for GTA IV, they paid the 50 million for the first 2 pieces of DLC, if you ask me it was a hella smart move on M$ part.Does anyone know if Rockstar/Take Two has plans to release "The Lost and the Damned" -- advertised as "downloadable content for Xbox" for PS3?
I hate Microsoft worse than Satan... but I am a complete GTA fanatic. And I don't want to hafta buy a frickin Microsoft box just to play this GTA IV expansion...
The Wall Street Journal recently ran an article that the PS3 was falling behind in the console wars, behind the Wii and Xbox. Lower console sales means lessened developer support/attention... hope this news outta Rockstar is not the first sign of that.
jwholloway
It's just like the new Fallout 3 DLC. Msoft paid Bethesda a LOAD of cash for the DLC NOT to be released on the PS3 (I dont know if they didnt want it to be released at all or just wait for the 360 to have it for a year first)
I used to like Msoft I have a Zune, and Windows. Now, I really don't like them because they gotta pay developers to not release stuff on the PS3 because they are afraid of competition. Thats foul to me............very foul.
wow this is why i hate billgates , micr5osoft,, and xbox 360
they pay so much ,money so ps3 gamers cant play sweet games and it is really starting to annoy me.
Bill Gates is a nerd...
I don't really care about the DLC enough for me :P Rockstars backstabbed Sony by making the game for 360 too it was always for PSSpy_106
Well, you seem a little misguided. Sony had the option of making the game strictly exclusive. They screwed up and did not take care of the exclusivity business in the 6 or so months they had the contract. So Rockstar did what any good business would do, they sought out a way to make more money.

Agreed, if anything as stated in another post it was PC game to start with. Microsoft just happened to pay more, but that aint back stabbing, thats just good business sense.
i think its added for time /another explore the world of liberty city.....while...just helping the hype for 360 offliners/buyers to online the game(50dollars+the dlc then they will stop) for more juicy to play
Violence indeed the most selling type on games....but i dont really like it....
Having completed GTA4 on the ps3 when it first came out I already owned a copy. But now I only have access to my xbox I was already planning to re-buy gta4 and the fact that I would be able to get L&D tiped it for me.
Credit to Microsoft, sure you guys all hate them but they are a company just like any company, its all about the profit same as sony and rockstar.
Btw, alittle note, L&D is a good solid expansion pack and more of what I loved about gta4, if you own an xbox and enjoyed gta4 you will love l&d.

Interesting that you should use the iphone as a comparison, as anyone who owns one would tell you that the camera's crap and you've only got the choice of one network. Unless, of course, you want to take the back off it and tinker. As for using your 32bit PSP to listen to music before "teacher" walks in, well, take your pick of any mp3 player on the market and my guess is it'll actually fit in your pocket! A feature which the PSP lacks, unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, I've owned a PS1 & 2, in the past, but, as you mature you begin to make important choices with your head not your heart. And, at the risk of sounding patronising, as you're still in school I'll forgive you you're niavety. As anyone with any basic domesticated knowledge will tell you, washer dryers are a bad idea. I was also under the impression that the 360 was wanting to be a multimedia entertainment device, what with including a standard dvd player and the ability to watch Netflix. I could be wrong there too I suppose. I don't have a 360, since I based my gaming purchase on system capabilities alone, so none of my preconceptions may have been right at all.

Somehow you got confused there, so let me correct you. It is the 360 that has the faulty hardware, not the PS3. Ever heard of RRoD?
