Definitely MGS4...but 3D Dot Game Heroes is definitely up there. I never thought a game could mix Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Zelda (and basically every other old school rpg) so perfectly.
Uncharted 2 easily the campaign had few if any boring areas, the action was amazing the puzzles wern't tedious, and this game had alot of things you never thought you see in a video game
for me... i'd have to say god of war 3, by far. All o fthe other games mentioned had some slow points, but even the slow GOW points were crazy epic haha. I just finished it last night and yet again i was sorely disappointed for it to end (just like the previous two). MGS was crazy good, and I loved it... and demon souls was top shelf (though not as epic because of the way I went through it - carefully and slowly). Uncharted was also excellent, just not as much as GOW.
When you think back, the ps3 has some crazy awesome games haha.
epic...well, that's a toughie... but in the end of the day, the most thrill I've gotten from a PS3 game came from making my way through Demon's Souls, discovering things the first time around and trying not to make any mistake. It's the most I've felt "engaged" by a video game this gen.
Ha, nobody was expecting that ,were they?I've just completed it recently. I know it's a download- only title, but I absolutely loved every minute of it. It may not be a huge blockbuster with a gargantuan budget, butfor me, its right up there with the likes of Uncharted 2.
The story has plenty of twists, the characters are great and the game is hilarious!
