The most glaring flaw of MGS4.

OK, I just decided to make this topic for fun. To be honest, there is very little to complain about MGS4. If it's not the closest as one can come to flawless, I don't know what is.

Sadly, I can only give 5 choices. Well, anyway, vote away, discuss, let's hear your own choices, this will be interesting.

MGS4 is so technically proficient that it really doesn't have flaws. The game does however contain more video than gameplay which can be a bit hard to swallow. This in itself is its most glaring flaw.

Well that really depends on how you play, On my 1st playthrough I beat MGS4 in 21 hours without skipping cutscenes, assuming the cutscenes are 8 hours altogether I played MGS4 for 13 hours. Not counting speed run MGS4 definitely has atleast 8-9 hours of gameplay, so its really half way split between gameplay and cutscene. MGS4 is by far the longest MGS in terms of gameplay I would have to say.

Oh and on the poll I would have to choose the fact that you couldn't play as Raiden in MGS4, I would loved to have actually had hands on experience with Raidens ninja skills.

Hmm, I'd say that honor goes to MGS3. I beat both in about 20 hours, and I'm pretty sure that MGS3 spent far less time on cutscenes... though I could be wrong.

I actually kinda liked the need to press start between screens. Gave me a break to go to the restroom. I just hate the fact that there were so many during the fourth act.

I chose the butt cause it's just so in your face you can't get away with it. It'd be cool if they release some episodes that let you play as raiden in dlc.

I know it's a recurring thing and all, but does Otocan have cry and weep everytime someone dies? I mean I can certainly understand Emma in MGS2, but Naomi?

Just because he got a little action from her doesn't mean he has to weep like someone in a lifetime movie when she passes!

After seeing the intro to the new Raiden, I really wanted to play as him. In the old game where you played Raiden it kinda suckd. Maybe this is an opening for a sequal continuing Raiden?wicked1992

Why is snake saying stuff like "polymer casing" and crap when he plays with guns, and talking about other trivial things on guns that have nothing to do with what anyone cares about at all, other than to sound overly technical and like he knows what he is doing. I am sorry, but if a guy picks up an m4 and tries to impress me with his knowledge by telling me it is military approved plastic and shoots bullets that kill people, I would laugh in his face....Oh, and one more thing, in the beginning, when snake pulls out his ak and it jams..... yeah. have you played mgs3? that by far has the most techy dialogue. especially with sigint, snake would rehash his dialogue in his codec speeches if you werent careful.

MGO is MGS4 multiplayer,which makes it part of the game. It's not separate at all.

Well MGS is unique for this case. MGS4 = single player and MGO = multiplayer. They are both separated games packed in one disk. MGO uses MGS4's engine.

I forgot to add- Any time there is a never ending storm of guys that come out of nowhere...... well..... let's just say it feels like games striving for realism have come a little too far to put a broken mechanic like that in.....Plague27

Thank god someone noticed this! Holy hell, I was stuck at this one point where I would snipe like 5 guys and some guy would come around the corner and see me, and then I'd keep killing them all only to have an endless army come running at me.

Oh and why can snake not hold a sniper steady, but holds an automatic as steady as if he doesn't breathe. And I'm talking with a rifle zoom on it, so both are zoomed in alot.

mgs4=mgo, why because when you put in the disc, whether you are on or offline if people look at what game you are playing it is mgs4.
