Oh, you mean people who own a xbox360 and a ps3 are still xbots? People who own both systems are not allowed in this forum?[QUOTE="Videodogg"][QUOTE="Maverick128"]XBots and Wiitards relentlessly trying to put it down, in turn, bugging the hell out of me.
Note: The above terminology only refers to extremists who go out of their way to cause trouble on a board they have no business being in.
Ngon
negativity is not allow... only in system wars
[QUOTE="LobaFett"]PS3 forces to much on their gamers, Xbox 360 gives the choice of whether or not to...............blu ray will fail but it does have bigger hard drive, 360 better online component and still the games are better ( mass effect, halo3,) but small hdd.mmirza23
lol blu-ray will fail? I guess you've been living in a cave for the past few months.
nevermind the fact that blu-ray has been dominating the sales, heh..Well, I own both a 360 and a PS3 and I'm a fanboy to neither. I will say though that the waiting game on the PS3 has been long and boring.  Almost nothing good to do on it except Resistance:FoM (which I actually didn't expect to like with the "alternate history" BS but I ended up loving it...). What I REALLY want is Lair and they keep pushing it out!
Things I hate:
1. No BG Downloading (I don't understand this at all - the machine's a monster it doesn't need to just sit there while things get downloaded using up maybe 2% of the CPU if that)
2. EVERY time there's a system update I have to reconnect my WIRELESS controller via USB to proceed.  WHY???
3. The system doesn't support IR remotes, so my $130 Logitech Harmony universal remote controls everything in my house except my PS3. I have the same problem on the Wii, and Logitech can make new remotes eventually, but this still sucks that I have to either use my SixAxis to control movies or go buy the proprietary Sony remote for another $25 (wouldn't have been so bad if they included it with the system like MS did with my 360 remote).
4. The wanky controllers that go unresponsive sometimes for up to 10 seconds - totally un-cool when you're heading towards a cliff and turning won't respond(!)
5. Playstation Store is hard to navigate. There should be an easy way to go back to a previous page and the whole thing is sluggish and like a bad web page. Easy for them to fix this one. Also, Sony BMG has a TON of music in their library - why can't I buy any of it???
6. Can't play my own soundtracks/playlists during a game. This feature is amazing on the 360 since I can even play music on my PC. I don't expect Sony to have THAT kind of support but at least my PS3 should let me play music that's stored on the HD!
7. No upscaling regular DVDs - I think this is Sony trying to force BluRay on us all. I like BluRay a lot, but I have about 150+ DVDs and watching them in 480p just sucks on the PS3 compared to what they look like on my 360 where it upscales them to 1080i. My 360 has a VGA connection to the TV and my PS3 has an HDMI connection - I don't see any reason why Sony can't upscale the DVD except that they want it to look significantly worse than a BluRay.
8. I miss rumble support a lot more than I thought I would. In games like Resistance (well, FPS in general) I've gotten used to controllers shaking near explosions, giant stomping of alien feet, etc. The controller feels kind of dead in your hands without it (like the WaveBird on a GameCube). I also don't like how Sony lies about how they couldn't figure out how to have both rumble and motion sensing when we ALL KNOW it was removed because of the lawsuit with Immersion!! I hope they settle with Immersion and get this in there.
Most of these can be fixed with firmware updates, but I'm afraid Sony's going to drag their feet on the updates like they did with my PSP. It was a constant game of they saying all kinds of cool things were just around the corner and not delivering on their promises. Sony has been promising downloadable music and movies for the PSP for YEARS and they still haven't delivered. I just hope we're not in for a long wait for all the promises of the PS3.
LOL. The topic was "the only thing you hate about the ps3"...which implies ONE thing. You have a grocery list. I agree by the way.Well, I own both a 360 and a PS3 and I'm a fanboy to neither.
